Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick. A few months back, I purchased a Taylor Made R15 TP 3 wood. My bag is filled with TP ironset and hybrids. I prefer these clubs because I want limited offset and I don't need help squaring the club at impact. I didn't care for the stock shaft that came in the 3 wood. It had a vague feel (had difficulty feeling exactly ehere my misses occurred on the club face) and it was definitely designed to lower the ball flight. This normally isn't an issue for me as I tend to flight the ball medium to high with all my clubs. The club head is also designed with a more forward center of gravity to keep ball flight down. This combination didn't work well for me from the fairway and rough. I purchased the Aldila NVS shaft and it gave me all the qualities I needed and noe I feel as confident from the ground as I had from the tee and I also like the height and carry more from the tee. Aldila shafts really suit my game. I now have one version in my driver, 3 wood, 3 hybrid and 4 hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I recently put a NVS 55 A shaft in my Ping G25 3 wood and I'm loving the results. Nice high ball flight with alittle draw. Perfect!

Hello, I need a replacement shaft for a Callawy X 10 degree driver.  The current shaft if Fujikura R flex, 60g, mid/low torque, mid kick.  Also do you tip cut to fit this type of driver?  Thanks

Asked by: Frank
A shaft like the Fujikura EXS 6.1 (FK0072) R flex would be a good replacement. Yes we can do a shaft prep on this driver shaft for you.

I have a King Cobra offset SX 7 wood, .335 tip dis.  What would you recommend for good shaft.  My swing speed is between 90- 97.

Asked by: Chuck
The Aldila NVS could work well. The Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue (TT0107) is another shaft that could work well and again probably in an S flex. We also get very good feedback from the Xcaliber Tour SL Fairway shaft (AS0029) and Xcaliber Fairway (AS0021). There are some different weight shafts here so depending on which weight you might be looking for these are shafts that could work well.

The AL202202 Aldila NVS is a .335 tip wood shaft. Most hybrids require a .370 tip shaft. You would need to check the model you have to determine the hosel diameter. The AL0003H Aldila NVS Hybrid is a .370 tip and is the hybrid match to the wood shaft. If your hybrid does require a .370 tip and you want the NVS in your hybrid, the AL0003H is the model that would work.

I need to replace the OEM shaft for a Rocketballz 3 wood, Matrix XCON 5 Stiff. Is this a suitable shaft? What others should I consider? Thanks!

Asked by: Pete
The NVS could work as a replacement. From our shaft test data the NVS tests a little more flexible then the Matrix Xcon 5. Possibly a 1/2" additional tip trim with the NVS would take care of the flex. Another shaft that could work is the UST Axivcore Black 69 (US0040). The test numbers match up a little better to the Matrix Xcon 5.

I need to replace a Ping G10 driver shaft . It is a TFC 129 ( D ) STIFF shaft ,will this Aldila work for the replacement ? I can not find the 3 codes that is Your replacement shafts guide. I have a us proforce V2 .335 stiff shaft now would it work ?

Asked by: Albert
We do not have the specifications on the TFC 129 (D) Stiff flex Ping shaft, but the V2 shaft will work. If you have tried it before and have had success, it should perform in the G10.

I am currently playing a Callaway XR high loft driver with a Project X 5.5 regular flex shaft. At 70 I'm considering a senior flex shaft to get back some lost distance. Do you have a recommendation or two?

Asked by: Stan
The Aldila NVS 55 (AL202202) in the A flex could be a good choice. Also the Xcaliber Tour SL (AS0026), Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 (TT0106) and our MPF Distance (MA0248) could all be good shafts to look at.

I have 10.5 RBZ Stage 2 bonded driver with a Rocketfuel 50 grams R-flex shaft and have a high ball flight would like to have a lower ball flight. Do you have any recomendations for a different shaft?

Asked by: Mike
In Aldila shafts for a lower ball flight I would look at the NV 55 (AL202201) or NV 65 (1205W). Also the Xcaliber Tour SL (AS0026) is a very good light weight shaft that could bring your ball flight down. The Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen (MR0044) is another good choice. The RBZ Stage 2 driver uses a .350" tip diameter shaft so you will need to shim these .335" tip diameter shafts to properly fit this driver. The SHIM15 works well for this.
