ALDILA Shaft Specifications

Aldila Rip Alpha 6/7 Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well behaved! I put this shaft into my Titleist 910-D2 and immediately saw a huge improvement over the stock Diamana. Much lower trajectory when I wanted it with more roll out. Plenty of height and carry when I hit it more on the upswing. Incredibly accurate. Wish I was 20 years younger so I could really take advantage of it! Great shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands Down Best I have used every revolutionary shaft in the last 10 years beginning with the Grafalloy ProLite. This RIP shaft is by far the longest most accurate shaft I have ever played. Currently paired with Titleist 910D2 driver.

I plan on getting the new M2 taylormade and need to know if my 70 X-stiff shaft that's in my Nike Vr will fit in the new M2.

Asked by: Muninja
Yes the shaft from the Nike VR will fit into the Taylor Made M2. They both use .335" tip diameter shafts. You will need to install the shaft from the Nike into a Taylor Made shaft adapter TM0023. http://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/

What is the difference between 6s, 6x and 7s and 7x. Will the shaft fit aTaylor R9?

Asked by: Dean
6s stands for a 60 gram Stiff flex shaft. 6x for a 60 gram Extra Stiff flex shaft. 7s for a 70 gram Stiff flex shaft and 7x for a 70 gram extra stiff flex shaft. We fit Stiff flex shafts for driver swingspeeds in the 93 to 107 mph range and Extra Stiff flex shafts for swingspeeds of 108 mph and higher.

I'm looking for a shaft that will work with a TaylorMade R1 driver

Asked by: jim
The Taylor Made R1 driver used a .350" tip diameter shaft so to install a .335" tip diameter shaft you will need to use the TM0023 shaft adapter. http://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/ For finding a shaft you can answer the quesitons at this link and it will bring up shafts that could fit your needs to choose from. http://www.golfworks.com/mpf-shaft-fitting-worksheet/a/496/

Will this rip alpha lower my ball flight.  Can I get it with. A g30 driver tip and Farrell assembled

Asked by: Lee
The RIP Alpha is designed to produce a low/mid trajectory. If you are comparing this to the stock shaft in the G30 I would expect the Alpha to produce a lower ball flight. We can install the shaft adaptor for the G30. You would need the PGC002 Ping Shaft Adaptor. http://www.golfworks.com/ping-g30-series-shaft-adaptor/p/PGC002/

Can you install a titleist sure fit tip on the 60 RIP stiff shaft?

Asked by: Golfer25
We do not have the Titleist shaft adapter but do offer an aftermarket shaft adapter for the Titleist that will fit the RIP S flex shaft. We can install this shaft adapter for you. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-910-913-915-straight-fit-adaptor/p/BB9058/

The "2" would indicate a medium trajectory and the "1" would indicate a lower trajectory.

Can I reduce the length of Aldila Rip Alpha from the tip (I believe thats called tipping) by one inch. Also, I read that would increase the stiffness slightly. i.e.. a regular flex to something between a regular and stiff.

Asked by: Tom W
Yes you could tip trim this shaft. It has a 3" parallel tip length and it is a good rule of thumb to leave at least a 1.5" parallel tip length for proper shaft installation. With graphite shafts tipping 1" is a full flex change. Half a flex would be 1/2" tip trimming to get in between an R and S flex.
