Aldila Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT Graphite Wood Shaft

The new Aldila Tour Blue offers the same advanced performace of the Tour Green with a softer tip section to promote higher ball flight. The constant taper shaft profile provides exceptional feel and a smooth, controlled release. The Tour Blue is also made with the latest generation of Aldila’s Micro Laminate materials (MLT®). The ultra thin, ultra strong material allows for the construction of a shaft with outstanding performance and unparalleled consistency.

I have the TOUR Blue aldila atx55-r with my callaway x2 hot driver.  I'm looking for a stiff shaft with low trajectory for a high rev swing for more distance. should I be looking at the tour green shafts?

Asked by: jmacek111
The Aldila Tour Green (AL0040) is designed for a low/mid trajectory and the Tour Blue is designed for a mid trajectory so the Green should give you a lower ball flight. Our shaft test data shows the Tour Green as being stiffer in the mid to lower section of the shaft compared to the Tour Blue and this would create a lower ball flight.

Will this shaft work with my G25 ping driver?  Will I need an adapter

Asked by: Todd
Yes the AL0042 shaft will fit the G25. You will need a new shaft adaptor or you would need to remove the existing shaft from the current shaft adapter and reuse it. Here is the link for the new shaft adaptor for the G25 (PGC001). http://www.golfworks.com/ping-i25-g25-anser-shaft-adaptor/p/PGC001/

can the Titleist tip be installed to your shafts?

Asked by: chris
Yes the Titlesit tip can be installed on the shafts we sell. Titleist uses a .335" tip diameter shaft.

Which driver shaft would be better suited for a senior male golfer with a moderate swing tempo and 75-80 mph swing speed with 120 mph ball speed? Aldila Tour Blue 65 R or Aldila NVS 55 R?

Asked by: Leo
The differences in these 2 shafts is not huge. The NVS 55 R tests as being a little stiffer then the Tour Blue 65R but it's lighter weight could help produce a little more swingspeed and possibly a little more distance with a moderate swing tempo. If someone was looking for more distance I would lean towards the NVS 55 R.
