Xcaliber FW Graphite Golf Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Graphite Fairway Wood Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straight as an arrow I replaced the stock S flex shaft in a Nike Covert 5 wood that felt good when I swung it, but it gave wide and unpredictable dispersion. My irons are frequency matched to a 5.5 coefficient (equivalent to R+ flex in KBS tour) so I wanted the 5 wood to have similar feel. I bought the R flex in the 75g XCaliber FW and then had it tipped 2 inches to get the required stiffness. What an amazing shaft this has turned out to be! Absolutely the most accurate fairway wood I have ever had. Great off the tee and off the turf. Less than a week after having the shaft installed I used it in a 3 club challenge (I used only 5 wood, 8 iron + putter) over 9 holes and managed to shoot 40 on a course with 138 slope rating. I was able to hit controlled shots between 150 and 210 yd with it and still get the ball on hold on elevated greens. Very hard to believe that such a good shaft costs less than $30!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft Paired this shaft with my Maltby 3W head using the Maltby shaft selector. Great results thus far, should have done that last season. For the money you can't go wrong with this shaft. Looking forward to warm weather to get this in play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XCaliber Fairway The stiff option fits great for my 95-101 driver swing speed. Golfworks pured shaft and it's the best feeling/performing fairway wood (Ping G20 head) I've ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fairway wood shaft This shaft, although regular flex, has very low torque so control is easy peasy, very straight shots!!!!!! Plays like a stiff shaft

Can this shaft (Senior "A" Flex)  be used with a xHot Callaway 3 wood?

Asked by: Stan
The Callaway XHot 3 wood used a .350" tip diameter shaft. To use the Xcaliber Fairway shaft, which is a .335" tip size, you will need to shim the shaft to fit the hosel bore. You can use the SHIM15 or the Universal Plastic Shim (BB9018) for this installation. With the SHIM15 you will still need a regular ferrule such as the 60PW. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-brass-adaptor-shims/p/SHIM/ http://www.golfworks.com/universal-shim-with-ferrule-335/p/BB9018/ http://www.golfworks.com/golf-club-wood-ferrules-black/p/60PW/

I want to use this shaft in a callaway razr fit extreme 3 wood.  What are the trimming instructions when using the opt fit adapter?

Asked by: In the shade
The AS0021 calls for 0 tip trim for a #3 wood. No adjustment needs to be made for the adaptor. Trim is the same - 0 tip trim, butt trim to final playing length.
