AXE XCaliber Tour Fairway Graphite Wood Shaft

Features:
  • Tour woods have the stiffest lower section (16") of any shaft in the industry resulting in penetrating flights with low spin. Ideal for quick tempos and/or high swing speeds.
  • Stiffness profile balances feel and Stability and provides a smooth transition during the unloading phase of the swing.
  • Tour Fairway and Hybrids are designed with stiffer lower sections than the standard XCaliber FW and Hybrid shafts to produce more penetrating ball flights than those shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Playing with the big boys After purchasing the driver shaft and being very please with the results I decided to get the 3 and 5 wood shafts. I left the ma little longer than standard and the result is about a 15 yard gain with more accuracy than my previous shaft. After installing them on Wednesday- I played them in a skins game on Thursday and Saturday and they were paid for and then some. I will be playing this year on the Maui tour and I'm confident this year I will now have a chance

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not great I threw the ts flex in a 3 wood and it is not bad. Pretty low spin which works well. The big drawback is feel for me, but that is subjective. To me it feels a little dead and mushy compared to higher priced options but it still performs well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow. Superstable and great feel. Ordered this shaft through an affiliate of the Golfworks in Europe. Put it in a Taylormade Jetspeed HL 3 wood. Played it today and wow! Great feel, super accurate and long. Hit the green in two on a par 5 from 255 yards out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Deal Around Absolute best shaft for the money. I installed this in a Ping G25 head and it is money. Super stable and can work it both ways with ease. Cant wait to get the driver shaft to match.

Good evening,  I am interested in this shaft,  but not sure as far as flex,, I normally play a regular flex shaft, I am looking for something that would give me a nice mid high flight and long carry for a Cobra F6 3 wood..  is it worth pureing

Asked by: Jose
The Tour Fairway wood shaft is designed for a lower penetrating ball flight. It may not give you what you are looking for with your Cobra F6 3 wood. You might want to look at the Xcaliber Fairway Wood shaft (AS0021) which is designed to produce a mid/high ball flight. http://www.golfworks.com/axe-xcaliber-graphite-fairway-wood-shaft/p/AS0021/

Hello, my SS is 94-99mph (fast tempo), my handicap is 10 - I have always hooked the ball with sometimes low snap hook. Do you think XCaliber Tour 6+ - R Flex should be the best choice ! The shaft will go in TaylorMade head 10.5° 430cc Driver length 44.5"

Asked by: Robert 25
I would think the Tour 6+ could help you. It is an R flex that tests and plays stiffer then a normal R and with your swingspeed range being more in a low S flex range that could be good. Depending on which Taylor Made head you have you may need a shim or adaptor to be able to install the .335" tip diameter Tour 6+ shaft into what could be a .350" hosel bore.

Where are the trimming instructions for TFWs and T7+? Arthur Xtreme Engineering's web site is down. Also, there are white and red lines on the butt of the shafts.  Which points to target line? TX

Asked by: CoolHandLucas
The TFWs follow W19 trim code and the T7+ follows W2. You will find those at this link. http://www.golfworks.com/images/art/2011_shaft_trim_inst.pdf The White line faces the target and the red line goes on top of the shaft. The red line is an alignment line to make it easier to align when assembling.
