Brass Tip Weight Plugs

These are the same tip weights that major manufacturers use for final swingweighting. Simply slide into position in the shaft tip, verify final swingweight and epoxy the shaft into position. Available for steel iron and wood shafts and graphite shafts. Packaged in dozen. Reusable.

Why no option for .355 tip weights? Most pro level clubs are .355 tip!

Asked by: chilidipper
You use the .335" tip size wood weights in .355" taper tip shafts. The shoulder will not keep them from going up inside the shaft and epoxy will secure them in place. A .355" taper tip shaft tapers on the inside of the shaft as well so it is not possible to make a weight to properly fit inside the shaft and because the .335" tip size works they never made one .355".

Do you have these brass weights in .355 tip?

Asked by: Drewll
Big brands all use tip weights and 98% of the shafts are tapered tip ... the answer below suggest to use .335 version (.335 is the diam of the tip weight or it just means that they are for .335 tip shafts ? it's not the same.). A shurr thing is that you will need between .06 and .10" for your epoxy to bond properly (2 walls x 0.03/0.05 for the bonding area. A tapered tip shaft is .355 OD -> .345 ID, which means that a .335 tip weight should do the job. Correct me if i missed something, but a more complete description of theses items would be appreciated imho

I have swingweight d2 in my iron but i need Shaft extension 1/2 inch. I find into  the tip 4 grams. For obtain same swing weight (d2) after extension i need 2 Grams or nothing? Then the Flex of shaft change?

Asked by: Leonard
A 1/2" extension will add between 2 and 2.5 swingweights to your clubs. This will change your D2 swingweight to D4 to D4.5. You would actually need to add weight to the grip end of these clubs to get the swingweight back down to D2. We call this a counter balance. In steel shaft we would use the weights like the CWC weights. You would need to add 8 gram of weight to the grip end to lighten these clubs back to D2 swingweight. You would use the CW8, 8 gram counterweights. http://www.golfworks.com/lead-counterweights-for-steel-shafts/p/CWC/

Hi. I just purchased Axe Xcaliber 355 Taper tip iron shafts. After completing a "DRY" fit I am about 5 Swing Weights off. Will the .335 10 Gram wood weight fit into the tip of the Xcaliber taper tip iron shaft?

Asked by: Tom
You will need to use the tip weights for graphite shafts with the Xcaliber graphite iron shafts. For 8 & 10 grams we have the Rubber Tungsten Tip Weights (GW0121). In brass weights we have the 2 & 4 grams (GTW2 & GTW4) and in lead weights we have 2,4 & 6 grams (GW0107). These are tip weights for both irons and wood graphite shafts. http://www.golfworks.com/rubber-tungsten-tip-weights/p/GW0121/ http://www.golfworks.com/brass-tip-weight-plugs/p/SITW2/ http://www.golfworks.com/lead-shaft-tip-weights/p/GW0105/

I'm looking for weights for .355 taper shafts.  Didn't see that as an option.

Asked by: Tony
For .355" taper tip steel shafts you use the .335" weights. They do work. http://www.golfworks.com/brass-tip-weight-plugs/p/SITW2/
