Trimming Instructions

Grafalloy Pro Custom Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and. Consistent I assembled these into a set of TE forged irons. I had the need to reduce vibration due to elbow problems. I love these shafts. They feel very stable which I had not found in some other graphite shafts I tested. I also spine and flow my shafts and every single shaft had the graphics perfectly aligned. The only minor gripe I have is the paint is easily scratched. Ball flight is high but not too high. Just right for me as i am a low ball hitter. These are great shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good feel and flight I have been playing the Pro Custom iron shaft for a couple of years using an R flex shaft (soft stepped: trimmed for 3 iron used in 5 iron, trimmed for 4 iron used in 6 iron). As my swing speed has decreased in the last few years I noticed the ball flight for my long irons was getting lower with less distance. I installed the A flex shaft in my long irons and both launch angle and distance improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement shaft for my 7 Iron I bought the shaft about 1 month ago to replace the broken shaft in my Taylor Made 7 iron. After calling Golf Works for a little assistance I was able to install the shaft myself and it is a perfect replacement I can't tell any difference from the original shaft.

What does R/S Flex stand for? I just bought the TT Procustom .370 GRPH IR Shaft and not sure I understand the directions that came with it for trimming the tip and butt. On the receipt it says trim code R=IR25, S=IR26??? Which is it IR25 or IR26?

Asked by: Bob
R/S means the shaft is a combination flex shaft that can be made either an R flex or S flex by following the trimming instructions. If you want to make the shaft an R flex you would follow IR25 and if you want to make it an S flex you follow IR26. The instructions for IR25 and IR26 will be for cutting from the tip end and you will then cut for the butt end for your finished length once the club is assemble.

what shaft would I put on a hybrid [Nike]    335,,,,,,,370 or ?

Asked by: mare
Most hybrids will take a .370 tip shaft. Without knowing the exact model of Nike hybrid we can not know for sure, but again, most hybrids use a .370 tip shaft.

looking for senior flex shafts for titlest ap1 irons 4 thru A 8 total do you have the tapered shafts to fit. also need senior flex shafts with titlest adapters for 915 driver, 913 fairway wood, 915 hybrid

Asked by: kirk
The Paderson TSI .355" and Steelfiber 70CW graphite iron shafts are available in a Senior flex. The Paderson TSI series also has matching driver, fairway and hybrids shafts that will fit into the Titleist club heads. Titleist for some unknown reason is the only company that will not allow us to sell their adaptors however the existing shafts can be pulled and new shafts installed into your existing adaptors.

1. have Adams pro idea irons that your chart shows as .370 hosel .bought these shafts to fit and had to sand and sand to get them down in there. what happened?  2.Are  your shaft trimming instructions are based on  some standard depth of the hosel?

Asked by: wally
In reviewing our list, I don't see any Idea Pro iron sets that require a .370" shaft tip. It appears that they all require a .355" tapered shaft. .355" taper shafts do not require any shaft tipping and are sold in discrete lengths.

what graphite shaft for taylor made rocket ballz irons do you recommend ?

Asked by: Wilbert42
We prefer to make a recommendation based on a given players individual needs. The Grafalloy ProCustom could work well with the Rocket ballz irons. Another graphite iron shaft we get very good feedback from that could work well is the Xcaliber (AS0023). There are a number of graphite iron shafts in different price ranges that can work well with these irons. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=AS0023

What R lite weight Grafalloy shaft would I use for Ping K irons

Asked by: Bob
The Grafalloy Pro Custom Iron shafts are only available with a .370" parallel tip size. The Ping K irons require a .355" taper tip iron shaft. The Grafalloy Pro Custom Shafts will not fit. We would recommend looking at the Xcaliber Iron shafts (AS0028) that have a .355" taper tip shaft. They could match well with the Ping K irons. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_AS0028
