Trimming Instructions

Grafalloy ProLite 35 Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still the ONE! I started playing 12 years ago, and after testing a dozen or so shafts over 2 years, I definitively found this one the best for control and with the added bonus of great distance. I got a new driver in 2008 (which has a tip stiff UST 65, also a great shaft), but the face caved in last month. I got a new SQ STR8 fit from Nike. I didn't like the Axivcore Black shaft it comes with, so I pulled Grafalloy ProLite 35 from my old wood and put it in the Nike. Voila! The ball flight went back down, no loss of carry, and better control. This shaft it the ONE if you hit the ball high. Its high kick point/stiff tip design gives it a naturally low spinning trajectory with no ballooning. as other reviewers have stated, you can spend a lot more, but you won't get any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I was hitting my 8.5 Callaway driver higher than I wanted to. I put this shaft in and the trajectory came down to a better angle than the original manufacturer shaft. Distance and roll increased also. It's hard to believe a more expensive shaft could work any better than this one. I have tried many different shafts (Grafalloy and others) over the years and this is the one I love for my driver. More distance and I didn't have to make the shaft longer than standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best bang for the buck This shaft is the best that I have ever used! I get great distance, and because it's light weight, I can have a higher swing speed. The best kick point, you'll know when you get it! Don't waste your money on high priced shafts, this is the one especially for Callaway Drivers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hitting it how I want Replaced my stiff flex shaft with regular flex on a 9.5 degree Titleist 975J Driver. Got the lower ball flight I was looking for and a flex that better matches my swing speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performing Shaft Saw this and brought back a memory of one I had many years ago. Put it in a modern head and am very happy with the performance I am getting with it. Would recommend it.

what is pureing

Asked by: golferdad
Shafts are not perfectly round or straight which can create some inconsistencies in shots. Puring shafts identifies these inconsistencies so that the shafts can be aligned in a consistent position and play as if they were perfectly round and straight. You can read and watch a video on shaft puring at the SST Pure web site at this link. http://sstpure.com/

Can this shaft be tip trimmed to be stiffer than X?

Asked by: Steve
No. The ProLite 35 has only a 2" parallel tip section and we recommend leaving 1.5" of parallel tip length for proper shaft installation. Normally 1" will equal a change of flex but tipping 1" to obtain an X flex will leave you with only 1" of parallel tip length for installation which is less then the hosel bore depth.

Can I put this shaft on a three metal?

Asked by: Dilo
Yes the ProLite 35 can be installed into a 3 metal. There is not recommended tip trimming so you would just install and butt cut for your finished playing length for the 3 metal.

I want to order Grafalloy ProLite 35 Graphite Wood Shaft for SLDR 3 wood, I'd also need to order SLDR Shaft Adaptor (TM0023) I'd like shaft cut to 44 inches. Do ya'll do all this before shipping and if so do I annotate my request in notes? thank you

Asked by: edward
Yes we can do this for you before we ship the shaft. You will need to order the shaft and the shaft adaptor and in the Special Notes at Checkout tell use it's the SLDR 3 wood, the finished length you want the club to be and how you want the shaft aligned into the shaft adaptor (which setting).

What do I need to do to put this shaft in my ping g25

Asked by: bone
You would either need to remove the existing shaft from the existing shaft adaptor or purchase a new shaft adapter for the Ping G25 (PGC001). We do sell our OEM Shaft Adaptor Saver Kit (GW0130) that works with a graphite shaft puller for removing the existing adaptor. http://www.golfworks.com/ping-i25-g25-anser-shaft-adaptor/p/PGC001/ http://www.golfworks.com/oem-adaptor-saver-kit/p/GW0130/
