how come there are no wedge shafts in .370 tip diameter there are many wedges that are not .355 and the wedges you have are all .370 also

Asked by: trajab59
A good question, and it really falls more to the manufacturers of the shafts choosing to make wedge offerings in a .355. It is no problem to use a .355 in a .370 hosel ( I do in my wedges). I used the SHIMT shim made to use on a .355 tip shaft installed into a .370 hosel. The reason most of the wedge shafts are .355 is that the .355 will work in both a .355 and a .370. A .370 will only work in a .370, unless you drill out the head.

Looking at new shafts for my wedges which are standard. My Irons which I have been fitted to are 1 inch long 1 degree upright. Any suggestions on length and lie adjustments. 2nd kid coming soon, money is tight.

Asked by: TBONE
If your wedges are currently a standard lie angle making them 1" longer would make them play like they are 2 degrees more upright. If you make the wedges 1" longer you will also make the play 6 swingweights heavier which can also make the shafts play a little more flexible which can also effect how the lie angle plays. They may not play quite like 2 degrees upright. I would get the lengths set up first and see how your directional control is before I make any lie adjustments. The KBS Tour Chrome wedges shafts could work well.

My Taylormade wedge had a .370, yet all of your steel shafts are .355. Do you have any recommendations?

Asked by: DavidDDS
You can Shim the .355" tip diameter shaft to fit the .370" hosel bore. Our SHIMT is designed for this purpose and works very well. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_SHIM

What difference in distance will there be if I'm replacing a stock wedge shaft in Vokey Spin Milled 48,52,56,60 with the Stiff Tour Chrome?

Asked by: Golfboy81
There may not be any difference in distance. The KBS Tour Chrome wedge shaft is designed with a firmer tip section for less spin. You may not see that much difference. Depending on which flex you use the KBS Tour Chrome Wedge may be lighter then the stock Vokey shaft.

I have KBS Tour Reg in 5-P Ap2. Need reshaft Gap wedge. What shaft do I get? KBS Tour for 9/w or KBS Tour for wedge?

Asked by: Stevie
You can go either way, but if you tend to hit more full to 3/4 shots with your Gap Wedge, you should go with the 9/w shaft. If you tendency is to hit lwess than full shots to pitches and chips with the Gap Wedge, you could go with the Tour Wedge shaft. Also, the head weight can dictate which shaft to use. Most Sand Wedges are heavier, in the 298 to 300+ grams and most PW's will be 290 - 292 grams. If the Gap Wedges head weight is more like the PW, use the 9/w shaft. If it's head weight is 298 +, more like a Sand Wedge, use the Tour Wedge shaft.
