Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver Clubhead Specifications

Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome clubhead and the first review???? I got a chance to hit the St-2 driver last night. put the pack together with the KK Silver shaft. Tipped the stiff shaft 1" and assembled at 44 1/2." Used the 14 gram weight in the head to get the swingweight up. Had the pros at Golfworks hand pick the head. 9* of loft and 1* open face angle (when I miss it's a hook so the FA should help). Went to a range that I go to often that you actually hit into water. There is a plastic pipe that goes across at 280 yards. I was consistently flying the ball over that piece of pipe (all carry). At the end I took out a beat up Chrome + ball I had in the bag. Crushed it at least 15 yards over that pipe. Only wish I would've tried this head sooner! I cannot believe I am the first reviewer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEVER JUDGE BY PRICE I went to a golf equipment dealers gathering to see what was new. There was a fund-raising booth and I spotted a driver that looked interesting. It was a Maltby CT-250. I bought it, not having heard of this brand. I took it to my local Golfsmith who told me it was quite a find. One of the salesman used that very model and had nothing but positive feedback. I took it out on my next session and it out-drove my big dollar driver. I'm upgrading to a new Aldila NV green shaft and oversized grip and looking forward to out driving my friends. Lesson here? Don't go by price, buy the club that does the job for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver I bought this at Christmas and finally had a chance to hit it. Paired with a True Temper Sensicore shaft, 45" in length and a D2 weight it is nice and light. The ball springs off the club face giving me more distance than my Ping..about 10 yds when everything goes well. Being a bogey golfer who is 68 yrs old my first impressions are very favorable. As the season progresses and my swing improves I'm sure this driver will be the right choice for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Good, Feels Good I've only had it at the range, but it looks real good at address and the ball feels real good off the face. I have nice control with it, and put a slight draw or fade when I want. The sound is a little "tinny", but that doesn't bother me a bit. I put this head on a UST Mamiya 65 Gold shaft, stiff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long, Low and easy to control I bought this driver club head less than a month ago and put the club together with a xcalibur 6+ shaft stiff flex and a golf pride texture grip. I was concerned about the sound at the range although on the course it calmed down and am hitting this really good.

Hi, is this club (Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver) available with a 48 inch shaft?

Asked by: Morrie 34
You can custom order the KE4 ST-2 Driver with any shaft at just about any length. The raw length of the majority of the shafts avaialble will be 46 inches. When installed in the KE4 ST-2 and nothing cut from the tip or butt of the shaft, the total club length will be approx. 47.5".

I bought the Maltby Ke4 ST-2 driver fitted it with an Xcalibur 6+ driver Stiff flex and Golf grip. The golf club sounds like an aluminum softball bat when hitting the golf ball? Did I do something wrong? Is it suppose to sound like that?

Asked by: TomEpp
Hello Jim, The day I wrote this I was at the range testing it on range balls. I then went to the course and used various golf balls. The sound and feel was much better except on off centter hits. It was the hardness of the range balls. Thanks for the reply it is a really good driver.

do you think the mitsubishi rayon diamana s + is a good fit for this head?

Asked by: mreasy
As long as the shaft specifications fit your needs it will match well with this driver head. We offer this driver and shaft combination in a Club Pak that you can see at this link.

I just purchased a Calloway X2 Hot Pro hybrid set, stiff shaft. What would be my best combination of Maltby heads and shafts to match for Driver(10.5), 3 and 5 woods to fill up the bag? My old Maltby driver is 15 years old, small but still works!

Asked by: John
The KE4 ST-2 driver matched up with the KE4 ST-F or ST-Fd fairway woods would be a very good set. The d in ST-Fd stands for deep face. The standard fairway woods are a shallow face design. We do offer Club Paks for both the driver and fairway woods that could works well. For the driver the PMA0244HBP, and for the fairway woods the PMA0228XCTF could work well.

When hitting my driver correctly, my club head speed is 110. Any recommendations on a new driver set up? Been swinging a Walmart special for a few years. Need to upgrade

This Club Pak for the ST-2A driver with the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black HBP shaft in an X flex to match your swingspeed could be a good choice.

Just tried to order a KE2 ST-2 Driver but after putting it in the cart, and going to finish my order I had to stop because instead if a 9 Degree club it was showing a 9.5 head. Can you please explain why it's coming up like this. Thank You

Asked by: Phonedoc
The St-2 is a 9 degree driver. With it showing 9.5 degrees when added to the shopping cart that is our mistake and we will get that fixed right away.

what are the differences between the KE4 ST-2 and KE4 ST-2A?

Asked by: Kevin
The biggest difference is the KE4 ST-2A has the adjustable hosel which allows you to adjust the face angle from square to 1.5 degrees open or closed. The KE4 St-2 does not have the adjustable hosel design.

Just wondering if a KE4 ST-2 10.5 driver head could be converted to an ST-2A with any of the many adaptors now available -- either in my shop, or by Golfworks staff?

Asked by: dcfury
The KE4 ST2 driver is not designed for an adaptor. The adaptor for the ST-2A driver will not work with the ST-2 driver. The only adaptor you could use is the Club Conex Face-Fit adaptor which would allow you to adjust the face angle from 2 degrees closed to 2 degrees open, as well as a neutral or square position. Here is the link for the Face-Fit adaptor.
