Maltby KE4 U30 Left Hand Iron Heads

The Maltby KE4 U30 LH Iron club head is a revised version of our original and best selling KE4 iron. The KE4 U30 maintains the extremely low vertical center of gravity (.635”) of the original design and falls into the Ultra Game Improvement category of the Maltby Playability Factor, with an actual MPF number of 1014. Ample progressive offsets help square the face at impact for straighter shots and the wider sole design is extremely turf friendly. The KE4 U30 design remains the most playable iron design on the market with a modern “players” cavity back iron profile.

Features:
  • Ultra Game improvement cavity back design that tallies over 1000 points in the Maltby Playability Factor making the KE4 U30 one of the most forgiving iron designs ever
  • Progressive offset in the #4 through #7 iron, with a constant offset in the #8 through GW
  • Extremely low vertical center of gravity (.635”) which is ideal for sweeping swing types and players looking to hit the ball higher
  • 3° of bounce in the #4 through 9 iron, 4° of bounce in the PW and GW
  • Weight adjustable with 2, 4, 6 and 8 gram weights to maximize feel
  • Four gram factory installed heel and toe weights
  • Available in #4 - PW, GW
  • .370" hosel bore diameter
  • Free wrench w/ set (8) purchase - MA0032W $6.99

Are the grooves in Malty irons USGA compliant?

Asked by: MoG
The DBM (MA0225), TE Forged (MA0099), MMB-17 (MA0226) & KE4 Tour+ (MA0261) irons have been submitted to the USGA and are conforming. We have not yet submitted the our other irons. However the grooves have all been designed to be conforming.

To follow-up on my question, I was considering the follow options for the 7Iron. TT Multi Step 119g steel. Or Graph Des GTech 77g. My daughter is 5' !" tall so was going with 1" short on length. Grip Winn WN0125 37g. Hope this helps.

Asked by: Chuckitall72
If I use our standard ladies 6 iron length minus 1" that would be 35.25" for steel and 35.75" for graphite. With the Multi-Step my calculations show the swingweight would come up in the B7 range. Changing both weights to 8 grams would bring that up to approximately C1. With the graphite shaft at 35.75" the calculation shows B8 and with the 8 gram weights it comes up to C2.

I'm thinking of using these heads for my daughter. Approximately what weights would I need to bring the swing weight to approximately D0?

Asked by: Chuckitall72
To answer that question I need to know what shafts and grips you will be using. I would also need to know what length you will be assembling these irons. If you could tell me the specific length of say the 7 iron that would be the best. I need this information to do some calculations to see what would need to be done to get to D0.

When I'm directed to the ordering page via the Maltby site a  #6 KE4 U30 price is $13.99 Why is the same club head $15.99 when ordering directly from Golfworks? I actually have the club in my online Goodwood cart for  $13.99.

Asked by: Alfred
The problem is with the link from ralphmaltby.com. When you click on Buy at the GolfWorks it is taking you to the MA0175 not the MA0175L for left hand. The MA0175 ($13.99) is the right hand KE4 U30 which was discontinued and replaced with the new KE4 S irons (MA0254). The link from ralphmaltby.com should take you to MA0175L which is $15.99. We will get that link fixed on the web site.
