Maltby MMB-17 Iron Set Pak is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best Bought these recently. I love Maltby products. I have tried the DBMS, TE Forged and ST-is. The MmB-17s are the best. Can work the ball easily, these have great forgiveness as well. Feel is about as good as anything out there. The shafts have an extra gear. When I really go after one it just launches them. Not too high but it is like it just keeps going. These will probably never leave the bag. Hope they keep making them in case I wear these out. May get a back up set just in case. For $270, these are an outright steal. Oh yeah, they are beautiful irons, too. The TE Forged are a close 2nd but these have a bit lower flight and I like the satin finish better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maltby MMB-17 muscleback blades Purchased the standard iron set pack with assembly, adding in the 3 iron (only modification was 1/4" extra length on the shaft). Got them within a week and have played a few rounds. Impressions so far; - When hit right, they feel like butter - Amazing how easily I can work the ball left or right, unlike my old cavity back cast irons - Mishits don't look pretty, but still go straight. - Shots seem to fly about a 1/2 a club head longer than I am used to. Overall I am extremely pleased with these irons. These are name brand quality irons at a surprisingly reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MMB-17 IRONS I made the iron set 4-GW to my own specs and thought they looked great and performed even better. Liked the ball flight and feel of them that much I have ordered a 3 iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing feel / Clean looks Beautiful irons. Amazing forged feel especially off the longer clubs. I was concerned about the Score LT shafts because I couldn't find much information on them but the clubs performed. Great distance. For the price I couldn't believe the results I was getting - just as good, if not better, as my $900 set of forged Nike's. I'm going to try the DBM's next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set of Irons Had this set assemble and played 3 round with so far. These are some solid clubs for a steal of a price. Very easy to hit for blades and great to look at. The quality of assembly was perfect. The only thing I may have done different is had them install the KBS shafts instead. The Score tend to balloon for me but I have a high ball flight anyway. All-in-all a great set of clubs. Thanks Golfworks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet sticks look great satin finish and hit fine! I love the old mmb's from like 7 years ago so this is my travel set....the heads are satin finish and look much nicer than the old chrome ones. If I would use these as my main set I would stick in a top of the line shaft though...just sayin..

I want to change to a graphite shaft. How much does it cost to replace it with graphite? The cheapest.

Asked by: Seventeen
You would have to purchase the heads, shafts and grips separately and request to have them assembled. We do not offer this type of substitutions for the Club Paks. You can contact GolfWorks Canada and they can assist you.

I need the irons to have a mid flight, losing 10-15 yards. I put Steel  fiber shafts stiff flex. I need the irons bent strong tor a mid flight. Possible. What do you recommend for lie and lift?

Asked by: Dennis
The lofts can be adjusted strong. We do not recommend bending them more then 2 degrees for loft. For the lie angle you would want to get it checked for you to see whether you need the lie angles to be standard, flat or upright. These irons can be adjusted up to 2 degrees for lie angle as well.

If I place order, Shoud I have to choice flex of shaft or will be assemble standard as your recommandation? What's the swing weight standard assemble? Could I regard positon of Score shaft is nspro 950s between DG S200?

Asked by: prehit
The Score LT is an R/S combination flex shaft that can be made either R or S flex and you can request the flex you would like. The swingweight should come out in the D0 range with standard size grips. You can also request your swingweight. The Score LT shaft is heavier then the N.S. Pro 950GH and lighter then a DG S200. The Score LT is a 117 gram weight shaft. You can see the specifications for the Score LT shaft at this link and scrolling down the page to the specification box.

I have a older set of the mmb irons. They have fst115 pro shafts trimmed to stiff flex. How will the score shafts compare? I am most interested I ball flight. Thanks

Asked by: Hambone67
Shaft weight will be similar but flex wise the Score LT will play a little stiffer then the 115 S flex. The Score LT plays fairly true to flex but the 115 S flex plays more flexible then normal. Ball flight could be a little bit lower with the Score LT.

Could I ask to adjust lie angle for this model? ex) iron 7 at an angle of 60 dgree, shaft lenghs less 1/4 inch than standard, undersize grips(62 inner) and could YOU let me know delievery fee to South Korea?

Asked by: David Kim
We can adjust the lie angles 2 degrees and we can assemble to 1/4" shorter then standard. We do not have any 62 core size grips. We can stretch the grip that comes Pak 3/4" and make it - 1/64" undersize. For the cost and delivery you will need to contact our International Trade Account Manager, Donna Ours at and she will be able to help you.

what handicap are these irons best suited for?

Asked by: brad
Generally with a blade design iron most people would say they are for single digit handicap. This is a very forgiving blade design that could be used by a higher handicap player who prefers the look of a blade.
