I am wanting to change shafts in my taylormade burner superfast 3 wood and my taylormade rescue mid 19* what tip sizes do I need in the Maltby graphite?

Asked by: Mike
The Taylor Made Burner Superfast 3 wood used a .350" tip diameter shaft. To install the MPF Fairway shaft you will need to use BB9008 adaptor to size the .335" tip MPF shaft into the .350" Burner hosel bore. The Taylor Made Rescue Mid 19* used a .370" tip diameter shaft so the MPF Hybrid (MA0250) shaft will work fine.

I need a driver shaft maltby Mpf 4b1h . Can I get one

Asked by: Top
The only Maltby driver shaft that we offer is the MPF Distance shaft and it is a 4B2M rated shaft. For a 4B1H shaft I would suggest the Xcaliber Tour 6+ S flex (AS0024). They are designed by the same person and manufactured at the same factory that manufactures our Maltby shafts.

I purchased this shaft for a 9 wood. I see the W19 trimming code but can't find the chart. I don't have the catalog and can't find how much to trim. I need information for a regular and a stiff cut.

Asked by: Bruce
Here is the link for the trim chart. Just scroll down the page to W19 which lists 2" tip trim for a 9 wood.

I have an MPF F series shaft in "A" flex that I am putting into a Maltby Trouble Out 7 wood, the trim code chart says to trim 2" for a 7 wood, what would be the effect if I trimmed it only 1" (5 wood) ?

Asked by: HS52
If you tip trimmed 1" instead of the recommended 2" you would effectively make the shaft play 1 flex more flexible or more like an L flex. With graphite shafts a rule of thumb is that 1" is equal to a change of flex.

I am looking for easier lift off from the fairway / higher launch than with my current Graffaloy Prolaunch red stiff. Am I better off with the cheaper MPF pak than with the premium pak which comes with a Kuro Kage HBP?

Asked by: Thomas
Ball flight should be pretty similar with either of the shafts. The Kuro Kage shaft is a little lighter weight, more in line weight wise with what you have been using with the ProLaunch Red.

what is puring

Asked by: tom monical
Shaft Puring is a shaft testing process to identify tolerances in shaft manufacturing so that when shafts are installed they will play as if they are perfectly round and perfectly straight. You can read more about it at these links.
