I need a tapered graphite .355 shaft, do they make this type shaft?

Asked by: ewb1228
No the MPF irons shafts are not manufactured in a .355" taper tip. I would recommend the Xcaliber (AS0028) which is a .355" taper tip and a very good inexpensive shaft.

Thank you for your feedback! I've been playing Aldila by you between stiff and x stiff and just don't feel right my driver swing speed is 101 and I hit it very good with plenty of distance but my irons go nowhere. Are those shafts from Golfworks good and do you think regular work for me? Thank you.⛳️

You would need to contact Wilson regarding a replacement shaft for the Fat shaft. There are no aftermarket options available.

Will these fit ping irons? If not please advise which items will fit

Asked by: noorm
No these shafts will not fit Ping Irons. All Ping irons use a .355" taper tip shaft and the Maltby MPF iron shafts are only available in a .370" parallel tip which is to large. I would recommend the Xcaliber Iron shafts AS0028 or AS0028S for a set of shafts for 4 through PW.

which type of trimming is typical, tip or butt on the  shaft of an iron

Asked by: gregory b
For this MPF graphite iron shaft you will trim from both the tip and the butt end. You will first cut from the tip to create the shaft flex for each iron in the set and then after installation you will cut from the butt end to create each clubs finished playing length.

I previously asked about swingweighting irons to D8. The shafts that I would use are MPF I-series .370 tip in length 5 IRON 38". Grips would be Grip One non-taper standard size. Rodney Dice

Asked by: Rod
In your previous question you had mentioned that you were using KE4S iron heads. When I do a calculation of the swingweight to the specifications you have listed it comes up in the C2 to C3 range. The KE4S irons come stock with two 4 gram weights installed. The heaviest weights that will fit the weight port for the KE4S are the 8 gram weights. Changing from 4 gram weights to 8 gram weights will increase the swingweight by 4 swingweights or bring it up in the C6 to C7 range. So even with the 8 gram weights installed you would need to add 22 grams of weight to the clubhead to bring the swingweight up to the D8 range. You could add a 10 gram tungsten weight inside the tip of the shaft which will add another 5 swingweights or get you into the D1 to D2 range but you would still then need to add approximately 12 more grams of clubhead weight to get to D8. Trying to get this combination of head shaft and grip to D8 as you can see is difficult and in reality probably something I would not recommend.

Which is the stiffer iron graph shaft A R or S  Maltby

Asked by: chb10
S flex would be the stiffest of the 3 flex options. The S flex would be suitable for a player using an 8 iron from 150 yards, or with a driver swing speed of approx. 93-107 Mph.
