Maltby Pure Track PT1 and PT2 Putter Views

The Maltby Pure-Track Putters are definitely classic in shape and blade profile but offer much more than similar shaped traditional designs. The Pure-Track PT putters feature head weights allowing for modern, shorter playing lengths and the current trend to add heavier over-weight game improving putter grips. Another bonus of increased head weights is that the Moment of Inertia increases relative to the putters head weight. The CNC horizontal milling on the Pure-Track classic putters improves the consistency of the balls speed and backspin in all conditions for more consistent putting. Available in a true heel/toe weighted blade and a classic mallet version, both the Pure-Track Classic Putters are made from heat treated stainless steel for a durable, solid feeling putter.

Pure-Track Details

  • Modern head weights allow for increased fitting options along with better forgiveness (MOI) on off center hits.
  • Three bold target lines engraved into the back flange for improved alignment.
  • Available in both a heel/toe blade and a classic mallet design profile.

Maltby Pure-Track PT Putter Clubhead Specifications

Maltby Pure-Track PT Putter Heads is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I have played with same toe and heel weighted blade putter for twenty years. The end of last year I noticed the ball was hopping before rolling, it was time for a new putter head. The Pure-Track blade putter is excellent, with a pure roll off the face. I inserted my putter shaft into the Pure-Track and for $40 I have putter that would cost $100 or more in a golf shop.

Since Ralph's adjustable putter is not available, what would you recommend to do some putter fitting?

Asked by: biglou52
We may still have some adjustable putters or the pieces parts to make them. I am tracking down that information and I will post a reply for you as soon as I can.

could you change the length from 34" to 33" if I order this putter(assembled pt-2 blade putter with superstroke 3.0-34") pak?

Asked by: duksong
These putters are preassembled and on the shelf. To get one at 33" you would need to place an order by ordering the head, shaft and grip and requesting the 33" assembled length. Customer Service can help you with this order. You can contact them at 1-800-848-8358 or by emailing

What does the "MTF" rating stand for? And, is the weighting on the mallet more center than the blade?

Asked by: Mr C 34
MPF stands for Maltby Playability Factor and is a rating system we have for identifying how forgiving in this case a putter is. The Pure Track PT-S2 has an MPF rating of 100 compared to the PT-1 & 2 rating of 88, meaning the PT-S2 is more forgiving on offcenter hits. We try to keep the center of gravity in the horizonatal center of the face. With the blade being a little longer from heel to toe the weight in the mallet would be located a little more towards the center because it is also deeper from face to back.

Why is there PT1 and PT2, and which is which?

Asked by: Lefty tinkerer
The difference in the PT1 and PT2 is the shape. The PT1 is the mallet shaped putter in the top of the picture and the PT2 the putter at the bottom of the picture. The different shapes to fit a player preference as to what type of putter they feel most comfortable.
