Ping G30 Series Shaft Adaptor

The Authentic Ping shaft adaptor sleeve adds one more degree of adjustability over the previous Ping adaptors and allows for multiple shafts to be used in the Ping G, Ping G30 ,Ping LS Tech, Ping SF Tech and Rhapsody drivers and fairway woods at a fraction of the cost of re-shafting. Available in RH, .335" and LH,.335". The Ping G30 driver and fairway adaptor is not compatible with previous Ping models featuring adjustable hosels

Ping G30 Shaft Adaptor is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on new G driver Great to have these available for Ping's newest driver. Pay attention to the tiny conical plugs Ping includes to plug up the hole in the tip of the shaft so that epoxy does not get into the shaft. I can see this is a good idea but fully plugging the tip can make the adaptor want to slip off the shaft due to the pressure of the epoxy between the shaft tip and the end of the adaptor. It is very hard to get the adaptor to stay on the shaft. The pressure of the epoxy drives the adaptor off the shaft. You might want to leave a little of the tip open or unplugged so that the adaptor is not driven off the shaft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from G30 shaft adapter I bought two of these with the idea of putting them on a couple of shafts so I would have a couple of different options to try. First of all these are different then the adapter that is on the G30. They come with a fixed rubber ferrule so removing them without ruining the rubber ferrule is nearly impossible. The adapter on my G30 looked to be one piece. The first adapter I tried looked just the the second but after a few swings I noticed the head and grip were no longer aligned. I grabbed the head and grip and twisted and noticed the head would move about a 1/4" in both directions. The shaft was secure in the adapter but the adapter would turn inside the head. The second adapter held up just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits My G-30 Griver well. I purchased the ping G-30 shaft adaptor so I could change the shaft in my G-30 Ping Driver from the to soft Ping reg. flex shaft to a after market stiff one. Thanks to Golfworks I got it with in 5 days of placeing my order. It fit the Ping club head like a dream. This saved me a golf season of waiting for Golfsmith to get with the program. I was ready to trade in my Ping G30 for a different Driver but the stiff flex shaft change is keeping me in the fairway at least 65% of the time now. Great product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New adapters with plastic ferrule...yuk! The first g30 adapters were all metal. This new version with a plastic ferrule are not good. The effective area that the shaft and epoxy meet is less and these are breaking loose if you are not careful. The old all metal versions were far superior and didn't need a ferrule if you reused it. Not a good change!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product....but Adapter works great! But, after trial don't use the rubber tip it creates an air pocket which makes it extremely hard to put the adapter on correctly. Also, put epoxy on the shaft! Ping's instruction booklet which is included- isn't that good

Replaced regular flex shaft in my G driver to a stiff shaft. Tips were already installed. What would cause the stiff shaft to loosen after hit? Cant see any cracks. Yes I tighten till it clicks.

Asked by: David
If the shaft adaptor is coming loose I am not sure what would be causing it to come loose unless something is not fitting correctly. When you tighten it and it clicks does everything seem tight. We had a case with one of our own driver models where the screw was a little to long and it would not tighten correctly. That is the only thing I can think of that might cause this to happen. I do know they occasionally come loose, I have seen this with the tour players.

I need this with a 350 tip

Asked by: ron
Ping does not manufacture this shaft adapter for a .350" tip diameter shaft. There is a possibility that we can get you an aftermarket shaft adapter for the G30. You would need to contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-848-8358 or by email at golfworks@golfworks.com for this special order.

With the new G30 &  G Ping Adaptor that have the rubber ferrule, does Golfworks have an equivalent collared ferrule to use in it's place? Any suggestions ...

Asked by: docphil
The PGC002 adaptor is the same adaptor as the one on the G30. I just compared the shaft adaptor to a G30 driver in our Pro Shop. The shaft adaptor on the Ping G has a plastic collared ferrule at the top of the adaptor. We do not have that ferrule. I would think I could use our BB0002 Collared Ferrule as a replacement. You might have to do some sizing and finishing to match it up to the top of the adaptor.

How come this adaptor has a ferrule but, the adaptor on a stock Ping shaft doesn't have one? Is this in fact an OEM piece from Ping or is it an aftermarket version?

Asked by: jrichards
The PGC002 is a stock OEM Ping product and it does not have a ferrule. We do not have the correct picture on the web but the picture in the catalog is correct.

What is the purpose of this ping G30 shaft adaptor ? I have a G30 with a stiff shaft - is this adaptor an extra ?

Asked by: Nialldoc
These adaptors are extras. If you decided you wanted to try another shaft in your Ping G30. You could purchase the shaft and have it installed into a new adaptor. You can remove the existing adaptor by loosening the screw in the sole and install the new adaptor with the new shaft. The adaptors allow you to use different shafts and they also allow you to adjust the face angle of your G30 from square to open face or closed face.
