True Temper TT Lite XL Steel Iron Shafts

The True Temper TT Lite XL steel iron shaft is a great choice for any bore-through iron head.

Features:
  • .355" and .370" tip diameters available
  • The mid-flex, longer length design can be built substantially longer than "standard length" without requiring a butt extension

Trimming Instructions

True Temper TT Lite XL Steel Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for Ping re-shaft I have reshafted 2 sets of Ping irons with the TT lite xl tapered tip shafts. Playability is excellent and the price is outstanding. If price were no issue, I'd have tried the new XP series iron shafts, but these work well enough. Ball trajectory is mid flight and distance is repeatable and reliable. There is no excess spin in the wedges and there is no trouble getting the proper long iron trajectory. There is no extra yardage built into these shafts, but in my most recent build, I soft stepped the Ping ISIs by one shaft. Trajectory is a bit better and the ball comes off the club softer and with excellent control. The ISIs with the original JZ stiff cushion shaft were just too unpleasant and too much work. They now play great.

I have Callaway S2H2 Irons which are bore through Irons, is it possible to cut the end of the shaft so that it fits into the head of my club

Asked by: catdel
The S2H2 irons took a .370 parallel tip shaft, so as long as the shaft you are putting in the head is .370" tip, you should have no problem. Since it was a bore through, you would trim 1" less from the tip than the trimming instructions call for to maintain the flex of the shaft you choose. for example, if a shaft calls for a tip trim of 2" for instance, you would only trim 1" since the head is a bore through design.

I need a putter shaft for an odyssey putter.Putter tip fits in the shaft.

Asked by: Raye
If the particular Odyssey putter that you have uses a straight putter shaft, not a double bend, then it will take a .370" parallel tip shaft. The TT Lite XL (UTXLIC) could be used but the 2XLI will not fit properly.

My clubs are 1" longer than standard and are xstiff. I want to go to an R flex shaft. I want to try the TT Lite XL shafts. I am going to reshaft the 4-pw. To get the 1", do I order the shaft for the 2-8 to get the extra 1"?
