I purchased a Aldila taylor made rescue RIP 85 on ebay. The tip clearly does not fit the hosel on the Adams A3 I'm trying to put it in, the seller is adamant that I should tip trim it 1 inch then it will fit. Is this correct? He cites you as his authority

The recommended trimming instructions for the RIP Hybrid from Aldila are no tip trimming. In looking at the Aldila RIP Hybrid 85 shafts that we have in stock the tip is left unpainted so if it is not going into the Adams A3 Hybrid, which was listed as a .370" hosel bore either the shaft tip is slightly larger in diameter then it should be or the hosel bore size is slightly smaller then it should be. The Aldila RIP Hybrid 85 is designed with a 3" parallel tip length where the shaft would measure .370" up from the tip. Even if the shaft tip has been left unpainted it still needs to be lightly sanded for proper installation and this light sanding maybe enough to make it fit.

If you are wanting us to install this shaft into a Titleist Adaptor for the 915HD we do not stock an adaptor for the Titleist 915HD. We could special order the adaptor for you and then install the shaft. It might be best if you call in this order and talk with a Customer Service representative and let them work with you to make sure we get everything you are wanting. 1-800-848-8358.

I have a adams hybrid a12 club. Is the tip .355 or .370, tapered or straight. It's graphite. Can I purchase a shaft here in the UK. Regards. ?Danny Munro

The Adams A12 hybrids accept a .370" parallel tip hybrid shaft. We do not have a distributor in the UK but can ship internationally with no issues.

When you say playing length do you mean from ground to end of the shaft or just shaft length. Does the price include a ferrule? Dannyboy
