Great Shaft

I put the Xcaliber SL in a Diablo Octane Tour 9.5 head to try out. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the Xcaliber shaft. My ss is 102-105 range and my results with the shaft is a mid/high penetrating ball flight with nice rollout. I've determined a gain in distance of 10 to 15 yards on my drives with incredible accuracy. I'm so impressed I just ordered a Xcaliber Tour Fairway Shaft. Glad I found these shafts, by far the best shaft and value in the golf industry.

Xcaliber shaft

Just finished testing the new Xcaliber shafts. My driver has the new SL S flex, trim weight 48 grams. The prob. I was having with the old r/s flex Aldila was to much back spin on the ball, to much loft. The new Xcal has a lower steady climb to appature giving 15 to 20yr. air drop with a low bounce rollout of plus 10 to 15 yr. total 30+ yr.
Back spin's a killer! so 5 stars for the Xcaliber SL S Flex.
Fitted 3 more of the Xcal iron shafts to my home made heads. As with the first set of 3 the second is performing above expectations. They do just what Robin claims so I have to give another 5 out of 5.
I have also fitted a couple of Hybrids a 20 dagree. and a 22 dagree with the Xcal. T.HY S flex for a friend. I'm not a big fan Hybrids, but the silver on black shaft looks good on the little silly looking heads. I'll post a star rating when I hear back from him.

I was playing with a Cleveland Ultra Lite driver. Shaft was a 40 Gram Graphite Design senior. For an unknown reason, the shaft snapped. I tried to replace the shaft without success. I was explaining my problem to Willie Toney, one of the outstanding members of the professional staff at the Olympic Club. He gave me the SL shaft, A flex, 46 Grams to try.
It was every bit as good as the the very expensive Graphite Design shaft and I believe even better. It is the best shaft I have ever played with and I have been playing golf at the OC for more than 50 years.
