FST Pro 115 Stepless Steel Iron Shaft is rated 4.125 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Feel! I used the A/R flex shaft for a new set of irons I built. As I am 76, I tip trimmed for the A flex and added TT's Sensicore inserts and used Avon Jumbo Chamois grips.. The results are gratifying. No shock at impact, shots are straight and high, and longer than my Cobra SZ irons which have been reshafted with TT Dynalite Gold R300 with less tip trim to soften them a little. They also have Sensicore and the Avon grips. Since the Dynalite Gold R300 (my former favorite) is no longer available, I was looking for a sweet feeling shaft for a slower swinging senior golfer. Looks like I found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I recently purchased an FST Pro 115 shaft and tipped it to a stiff flex to demo a Maltby MTF Forged 7 iron. The day after installing the shaft I took it to the range to compare it to my Mizuno 32's. All I can say is wow what a feeling!!! My ball flight was much higher and extremely straight compared to my 32/7 iron. I actually liked the MTF ball flight and feel better than my 32's. My plan for the future is to replace my 32 shafts or purchase a complete set of MTF irons and shaft them with the FST Pro 115's. I have finally found the perfect shaft for my swing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Way to soft to flex First, I will say that FST makes great products and have used them in the past with great success. for a build i did about a year ago, i wanted a midweight steel shaft and choose these. The FST pro 115 leaves a little something to be desired. They are VERY soft to flex. I ordered the KE4 SS1 club pack with these shafts a year ago and cut them between S and X. They shafts are stable, but the tip is very soft and leads to ballooning shots and a loss of distance. I eventually tried the Pro 125 in the 4 iron and PW and they gave me a much more desirable flight. If you are a low ball hitter these may be OK for you if you are really looking to hit the ball higher with your irons, But if you are wanting a more piercing trajectory, I would look to either the 115 non-pro stepped shaft, or the 125 pro in the stepless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S/X 115 Pro review I am a 9 handicap and play about once or twice a week. I hit my 7 iron about 160. I put these shafts into the Maltby TE forged iron heads trimmed to X flex. They do play soft to flex compared to most shafts I have tried which is about all of them. I am a pretty high ball hitter with almost all shafts and these were the same maybe a touch higher. The key factor is that there is reduced backspin so the ball gets up higher fast and then just soars. I play in Texas and the wind does not seem to hurt my ballflight nearly as much with these shafts. They feel similar to Rifle shafts not Project X which I absolutely hated. I have the ability to hit the ball lower with these shafts if I want to but the natural flight is high but penetrating at the same time if that makes sense. I like them better than the Rifle line, KBS, and Dynamic Gold. They seem to reduce sidespin which has tuned my hard draw into a nice soft draw and soft fades are just as easy to hit. At this price these are by fa

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shafts Purchased the S/X shafts for my Ram forged blades 4-PW. Look great w/o shaft bands, really soft feel at impact ball flight was wonderful. I used the 3iron-9iron tip trimming instructions for the set and final lengths were 1/2 in over standard. Will order again for my other sets or for clients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 'Feel' Shaft I have a full set of Hybrid ST irons with the FST 115 pro shafts, S-Flex. These shafts have a fantastic feel, especially for a smooth backswing. I also have a smooth down swing but fairly agressive. This shaft turned out to match my swing exactly. I'm very pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Shafts I have these in S-flex in my KE4 irons. They seem a little soft to flex, but that works well for me. Trajectory is as expected. Nice feel and look. If you don't like the big labels, you can always leave them off or put them on the reverse side.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from two broken shafts I realy liked the shaft, but in less than 1 year of use, 2 shafts broke hitting on a soft grass. my 7 iron broke in the middle, and my 5 iron broke in at the tip. Bought the cheapest shafts, now i'm paying the price.

I play c taper lite 110 stiff now and really enjoy them. Would like to build a set with FST 115 Pro. How do these shafts compare, flex and flight?

Asked by: Greanbay
I would tell you from testing that the C Taper Lite plays a little more flexible then normal but the FST 115 Pro plays quite a bit more flexible then normal. At least a full flex if not a little more and because of this should flight the ball higher then the C Taper Lite's. Because the FST Pro 115 is 43" raw length .370" parallel tip shaft you would have the ability to adjust the tip trimming to make them player truer to flex. The 115 Pro should finish out being a little lighter weight then the C-Taper Lite shafts as well.

I recently found a set of mmb's shafted with 115 pro shafts at a local shop. I love these clubs really like the shaft. Is there anyway of finding out the flex these shafts were trimmed to??? I have a set of dbm's and would like the same shaft .

Asked by: Hambone67
With the 115 Pro shaft being stepless if would be best to have the shaft checked in a frequency machine or on a deflection board to identify the flex for sure. Keep in mind that the FST shafts test more flexible then normal.

How does this shaft compare to the KBS tour 90 and tour v. I currenlty have the tour 90 in S and I am looking for something a little firmer. I've tried the tour v's, but these are a better price point. Would these shafts fit the bill?

Asked by: victmor
The FST shafts will not be as firm or tip stiff as similar KBS shafts. The KBS shafts are typically much stiffer in flex and have a significantly firmer tip section. If you are looking for a firmer shaft the FST would not be good choice. I recommend the standard KBS Tour shaft if you require a firmer shaft.
