Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gripping Station I just got my gripping station today and it was very easy to set it up, and after it was set up I re-grip my Cleveland TA-7 irons all 8 of them with a Lamkin grips that I got from Mr Lamkin long ago. I tell you that this machine made my re-gripping more quicker than just using a regular vise and a rubber insert. I highly recommend that you should get one for yourself if your picky about the way you wanted to grip your own personal golf sticks. I gave this product a 10.

What vice throat depth is required to work with the gripping station? ?Is there a minimum recommended?

Asked by: Mccoy08
No real minimum required, as long as the GGS is stable when clamped. The piece on the GGS that is clampled extends approximately 2 inches, so a depth of 2 inches would work well.

Can the tape dispenser and clamp positions be reversed so that the tape dispenser is on the right side and the shaft clamp is on the left? Thanks.

Asked by: SouthShoreRob
The clamp and tape dispensor can not be switched as you described.

Can this unit be bolted to a work bench?

Asked by: Dan36
Yes, you can mount the GGS gripping station to a bench. The GGS has an aluminum block attached to the bottom of the clamp so that it can be held in a vise. This block is attached by two screws. Simply remove these screws and use the pre-drilled holes to mount the GGS to a bench.

I have a standard bench vise attached to my work bench. How does this gripping work using my current vise.? Jammer

Asked by: Jammer
The GGs is designed to to work in a standard vise (see image on The Golfworks Website). There is a post or bracket at the bottom that allows the GGS to simply be tightened into a vise.
