Another home run from Lamkin

The good... The new REL Gen from Lamkin is the epitome of todays modern grip. Building on the ever popular crossing pattern, Lamkins new grip is other softer and tackler than the classic original. The REL Gen has an excellent patern for easy installation and is great for use with todays adjustable drivers. I played the crossing order for years while I'm not playing as much as I like I am not experiencing durability issues. In my opinion it is the best grip at it, or any price point for that matter. There is a huge array of colors so you can coordinate until your heart is content. I have them in light blue, white, and my personal favorite grey. These grips react well to stretching as I play +3 wraps (4total) to give me an in between size as the midsized is just a bit out of comfortable reach. They are east to remove if needed to alter size or for a repair.
The bad... While I really like this grip, and am supremely happy with its longevity; the only thing keeping this grip from being 5/5 is the fact that they can get a little slick in precipitation, or even early morning play. For me that puts it at a 4.5/5 rating. They do easily tack back up with a dry towel wipe down and work excellent with or without a glove, and as well as rain/winter gloves.
I'm interested to try the new Iomic/Lamkin venture but these grips are fantastic and at under $5 a grip you are under $70 in gripping your whole set. Read More Reviews
