MALTBY MMB MUSCLE BACK IRON CLUBHEADS
The Maltby MMB Form Forged irons are the result of the challenge to create a muscle back type design that has a high degree of playability (Super Playability Category of the Maltby Playability Factor). As a part of the design, we wanted to have features on the design that actually showed how mass was redistributed to improve playability. This was accomplished by using “weight relief pockets” and a unique (inverted) muscle design. All this while still giving the player the feeling that they were looking at a traditional blade profile. If the feedback from our product development test committee is any indication, we succeeded, with honors. The Maltby MMB irons bring a new level of playability rarely seen in the muscle back blade category.

played lots of irons but this set is really great. the best way I can explain it is to say that the trasition from my Volkey wedges to the irons and back again is smooth and easy. I hit these with the same confidence and smoothness as I do my wedges. I built mine with rifle flighted shafts and just love to pull out any one of them any time. I keep stairing at the design and all I can figure out is that the seight being so low and the back being some what concave make this set of irons play like a cavity back with the accuricy of a muscle back. I have played titleist, ping, ben hogan, wilson staff to mention a few every set has its pros and cons but this set is a whole lot of what I was looking for in an iron. I loved my wedges and now I really love my irons too.

These are the greatest irons I have ever used. I have used them all! I was stuck on my Mizuno MP 32 and like these alot better! I just tried the Cleveland CG1 black pearls and they were great but these blow them out of the water! Its a game improvement iron that better players can use and love! Its almost like cheating!

MMB Perform

Just built a set of MMB's with the Precision Project 6.0 Shafts and I am so pleased I wanted to leave some feedback. Since these are brand name clubs, I used the feedback of others to decide on building and hope this helps someone making that same decision. These play better than my Callaway X-20 Tours or my Titleist 735's by far. I'm straigther and longer with each club and the feel is awesome. Haven't hit a 3 iron so good in years which was my ultimate playability test.
Good luck.
