Maltby Tour Grind MG Wedges
The Maltby MG Tour Grind Wedges were designed for the player that demands creativity around the greens. The sole design of the MG Tour Grind Wedges features a narrow sole with an exaggerated toe and heel Tour Grind making them the most versatile wedges ever designed under the Maltby brand. Micro Grooves (MG) have been CNC milled into the face to consistently increase spin around the greens. The Diamonized Black Metal finish is a very thin chemically implanted coating that is twice as durable as traditional nickel chrome plating and 30 times more durable PVD coatings typically found on modern black wedges. The DMB finish will not “crack” or “peel” when being bent to custom specs yet is so strong it will actually extend the sharpness and overall shape of the precision milled MG grooves vs. any other wedge finish currently available. If you desire a wedge that allows for the ultimate in consistency and creativity, the Maltby MG Tour Grind wedges are the answer!

First of all. These are the most beautiful wedges I have ever seen (all manufacturers included). I paired 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges with rifle spinner shafts with sensicore inserts. The feel, even on full swing shots is unmatched by any OEM. At Carl's Golfland, I demoed a vokey sm4, Cleveland 588, and Mizuno MP R-12 along with my Maltby MG Tour. The Maltby performed just as well as the others, but had a better feel. Perhaps due to the sensicore inserts. The grind on these wedges allow the skilled player to perform an arsenal of shots around the green. Simply put, these wedges perform just as well as any major OEM at 1/3 of the price. Put all that together, BUTTA!

Pretty good wedge at great price
Although I have not had the ability to take this wedge to the course, I have had extensive practice sessions with it and can say without a doubt, the finish on this wedge is fantastic. I bought the 60-07 and love the versatility of the grind. I shafted it with the Rifle Spinner shaft and really like the soft feel on half-three quarter shots as well as fuller shots. Spin is very controllable and not over-excessive, which is great for a high spin player like myself. If the wedge performs as good on the course like it does on the short game areas, I will seriously consider the 52 or 56. I would, however, like to know whether the grooves are usga conforming or not, as I plan on playing tournaments with it next year

Tour Grind Wedge
I puchased the 56 and 60 degree wedges with spinner shafts last year and have played about 30 rounds with them. These are great wedges! I have always played Cleveland wedges and thought I would give these a try after liking the TE forged irons. The look and feel are excellent and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Probably have played close to 10 rounds with the 60 so far which is my wedge of choice under 90 or so yards. Very much exceeded my expectations. Used a True Temper DGS300 for the shaft - tipped to 8-iron flex. Basically this is the wedge flex used by most companies. Absolutely perfect balance. The grind is the best I've encountered so far. Can lay the blade totally flat, but never feel like it will excessively dig on full shots. Stopping power is great. Works good out of the sand as well. The finish is impeccable with no blemishes showing after quite a few shots. Still can't believe it only cost about $60 to build the club. I've been using Callaway X-Forged for the last 3 years or so and these are without a doubt much better. Are they as good as Vokey's? Not sure, but they meet all of my requirements. I can change the head out once a season and keep the shaft for only $35 and 5 minutes of time if the grooves get worn. Kudos to Maltby for the design.

Great wedges for a great price!
I bought these clubs about a month ago and couldn't be more impressed! I used the same set of Maltby irons for 12 years, but have always been a Cleveland wedge loyalist. I was in need of new wedges, and thought I'd give the Tour Grind MG a shot, and I couldn't be happier! Not only did they perform as well, or a little better, than my old Cleveland's, but they were a fraction of the cost! If you're on the fence, give them a shot, with the 30 day playability guarantee you have nothing to lose, but you need it, these are awesome.

Bought all three heads 52, 56, and 60. Put the KBS C-Taper tipped to a 4.5 frequency. I love the feel and performance. The grind allows me to pick the ball very clean on tight lie's. The bounce on the 56 degree works well in most sand. I'm very happy with the finished product.

This is my second Tour Grind wedge. This time a 60* to replace one that I had played for a long time but had lost. I first tried one from another fine component company. It had a different face and bounce. I worked with it for a year before I gave up on it. I was just never sure what was going to happen when I hit it. With this Tour Grind MG wedge the results are very much what I expect for the shot I am trying to hit. I really like the feel, look, and finish; as well as the playability. A real winner.

Great Feel but wish they were fully adjustable
Love the feel of these wedges but without them being fully forged and adjustable I cant give them a 5. I wish you made your forged wedges completely forged so they could bend at least 3*

I'm a 14 hccper. Like to use my sw for all shots within 30 yds of the green (from fw and rough) Also, play courses with traps that don't have fluffy sand. Please suggest best model for me. Thanks
If the sand tends to be more coarse, a neutral to narrower sole tends to work better. The new M-Series Silver wedge with 0.90 sole width could be a good choice.

what shafts do I need? I am 70 yrs old with a five handicap
True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 iron shafts are the most common shafts used in wedges.
We offer our Club Pak for these wedges with the True Temper Score LT which also works well.

Can I bend these up too 4 degrees for loft or lie?
Actually 1 degree is about all we can bend these wedges. The black coating limits the adjust ability of these wedges.

hello; I'm using the old maltby Mseries wedges and ready to some new heads will these tour grind series be a match for me ??
Without knowing more specifics about your wedge play, the MG Tour Grind wedges (.726") have a thinner sole than the original M-Series wedges (.875") which makes them a little more difficult to hit in certain conditions for some golfers. The MG Tech wedges have a .900" sole width on the 52, 54 and 56 degree options which might be closer to the M-Series wedges in turf performance.
