Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensicore Inserts I loved the performance of my KBS Tour shafts but was near the point of having to change due to the pain of aging wrists and elbows. I installed the Sensicore inserts (took about 30 minutes) and the pain problem is solved. For anyone playing golf regularly with steel shafts, these are a no-brainer! Excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great at reducing vibration I installed these in a set of Ping G5 irons. The installation was simple, just push them in 7" from the butt end. The irons had a graphite like feel after installing. Very satisfied.

Wondering how long they stay in place? Does the material eventually deteriorate and move around?

Asked by: Johnno
Over the years that the Sensicores have existed I have only ever heard of a few cases where these have come loose or deteriorated. I always tell people how you store your clubs during the off season with Sensicore's is important. You do not want to store them in a basement or garage that is not heated. With temperature changes the Sensicore can pick up moisture do to condensation that can then cause the shafts to rust from the inside out and lead to shaft breakage.

I just ordered a Pro Modus 3 Tour 105 shaft... Any chance I can get a pack of Sensicore inserts added to the order so I don't pay double shipping?

Asked by: Paul K
You would need to contact Customer Service right away to see if you can still add this to your order. 1-800-848-8358

Do I have to use any epoxy when I install them. I understand they should be 7 inches from the butt end of the shaft so if I use a wood dowel and measure off 7 inches and just push them down into the shaft and they will stay in place.

Asked by: Johnny Fairway
The Sensicore inserts do not require adhesives of any kind. You simply use a 1/2" dowel to push the inserts into the shaft 7 1/2".

I've used these inserts on my steel shafts before but can I use them on graphite shafts?

Asked by: Joseph
The Sensicore inserts are designed for steel shafts to reduce vibration and enhance feel. In graphite, the material itself (composite fibers and resin) is a vibration reducing material. In fact, the Sensicore inserts were developed to give steel shafts similar vibration dampening to graphite. If the inside diameter of a graphite is large enough, you could put the Sensicore inserts in them, but the effect will not be near as significant as it is in steel shafts.

What is the diameter and length of the insert?

Asked by: Chuck59f
The True Temper Sensicore inserts are 14" long with a diameter of about .505" not compressed. Using these inserts will add 3 grams of weight to a finished club.

How do you install these inserts? Do you insert them in the shaft and push them all the way down to the bottom and then install the grip, or install a cork all the way down to the very bottom, then install the insert, then another cork, or method?

Asked by: TomP
These are installed 7" down from the butt end of the shaft. I just use a piece of wood doweling with a 7" mark on it and push the sensicore down inside the shaft to that mark. You then install the grips. Nothing else is needed to hold them in place.

Do I need corks or any other items when installing these inserts to keep them in place. Do the need to be at the very bottom of the club closest to the head or near the grip or midway the shaft? I can't find any instructions in your book. Thanks.

Asked by: Pennyhill20
No other items are needed to keep the Sensicore inserts in place. The inserts should be inserted so that there is 7" of space from the top end of the insert to the butt end of the shaft.
