UST Mamiya 650 Recoil Graphite Iron Shaft

Finally, a revolutionary technology that will change how you think about iron shafts. UST Mamiya’s new recoil iron shafts are a game changer. In the past, heavy weight graphite iron shafts felt dead and stiff. With UST Mamiya’s exclusive recoil™ technology, we have brought feel back into the shaft, while allowing players to hit a wide range of shots that result in better distance control and pin seeking accuracy.

By positioning over 19 different layers within the shaft, we were able to create a design that outperforms the best steel shafts in the market.

  • Great feel and lightweight options to increase club head speed for greater distance
  • Lighter weights for faster club speed
  • Medium to medium high ball flight

Senior 71 hc 6 fast and hard hitter. present set AP2 714 with GD AD 65 shaft. Could be a little smoother. My new iron set Callway APEX with recoil shaft. Which one ? My swing Speed Driver 88-90mph, shaft should be stabil and smooth.

Callaway lists the Recoil 660 in the A and R flexes and the Recoil 680 shaft in the S flex. The 660 is a 68 gram weight shaft and the 680 is an 84 gram weight shaft. The GD AD 65 in the Titleist AP2's is a 65 gram weight shaft. Based on your description of your type of swing you might be better to go with a little heavier weight shaft which could help you time and pace your swing a little better or possibly a stiffer shaft, you did not mention which flex you are playing. With the Titleist irons you would need a .355" taper tip shaft. The Callaway Apex irons with the stock Recoil shafts are a .370" parallel tip shaft. We stock only the Recoil 95/110/125 in the .355" taper tip but could special order the other models with a .355" taper tip. The Recoil 670 in the R flex might be a good choice.
