Tuning swing weight

Very useful for tuning the swing weight on the new longer drivers, but they are slightly undersized. I am using one on a Speedline that was originally 46" long with D1 swing weight. Trimmed it to 45.25" though I usually choke down another half inch. With an oversize Winn firm grip (28G) it now measures D6 at full length, but is about D4 when I choke down. They have a different feel, not that firm, but I wear a glove and am not that particular so it works for me. I also tried a medium firm, but it felt too soft and squishy. They do run a bit undersized, nearly 1/32". I tried the 1/16" oversize model with minimal tape and it feels fine, and tuned the driver into the zone for me.
