I have an Odyssey Metal-x 1 putter head which a customer wishes me to install a shaft on. Recommendation(s)?

Asked by: bvt99
Based on the images we found online, it appears the Metal X-1 putter simply requires a straight putter shaft. The True Temper TT0001P is a stepless straight putter shaft and the True Temper TT1008P is a stepped straight putter shafts. Both have a .370 tip diamter.

I have a Scotty Cameron Circa 62 #1 head. Need to know the tip size to help me determine the shaft to order. Any options?

Asked by: Stint32
The Circa 62 #1 would use the TT0004P which is the flare-tipped shaft.

A while back I asked about the tip size for a Never Compromise SC 2 to which you answered I could use the TT0001P. I ordered that shaft and it doesn't fit. I would have to cut about 1/3 of the shaft off for it to work. Any other ideas???

Asked by: Donwa13
The largest putter shaft tip option we offer is our TT0004P which has an inside diameter of .382 . The tip section length is approx. 1 1/4".

I have a Taylormade Rossa TP MARANELLO 8-01 Putter. What shaft do I need?

Asked by: sdfsdfs
I believe this should be a .370" parallel tip putter shaft like the True Temper TT0001P. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=YST I am having a hard time finding a good picture of the shaft where it is installed onto the clubhead. There is a possibility that this putter uses a flare tip putter shaft. If this is the case you would notice that the shaft gets wider at the very bottom of the shaft where it is installed on the clubhead of if the existing shaft is removed the post that the shaft installs onto is wider at the bottom then it is at the top. If this is the case you would need the TT0004P putter shaft.

I have a Ping Redwood Anser 303ss. Can you tell me the correct tip size for a replacement shaft? Thanks!

Asked by: tomtom
Ping Putters are generally .355" taper tip. The YST should work here. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_YST

WHAT IS DIFFERENCE between TT1001 Stepless & TT1009 stepless with Controld ID??? I have new Maltby CSS701 head & want to try top make COUNTER-BALANCED but have no experience so need some suggestions p.s I emailed about this few weeks but never any resp

Asked by: THOMF
We apologize for the delay in responding. The ID controlled indicates the inside diameter is designed to fit over a post type putter design. It is not flared, like the TT0004P, which is designed for designs that require a flare over the hosel shaft. The TT1001 or the TT1009 will both work in the CSS701 model. To counter balance, there are a number of ways to do it. You could use Lead counter weights (CW40, CW60, CW80, or lighter weights CW8,12,16,18,24,28) or the Tour Lock Pro System. You can view these on the GolfWorks website.
