Aldila NV Graphite Wood Shaft

The Aldila NV graphite wood shaft provides the player with very uniform feel and consistent performance due to its constant taper wall thickness design.

  • .335" and .350" tip diameters available
  • Constant taper design to eliminate "dead spots" or inconsistent flex zones
  • Unmatched consistency throughout the NV line, regardless the shaft weight
  • Available in 55, 65, 75 or 85 Series

Aldila NV Graphite Wood Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoooooth!!! This is one smooth shaft. I purchased the 65X .335 for my Supertri a while back as the stock shaft felt like a wet noodle. I have a high swing speed coupled with a quick transition which really loads this shaft up well. It's just so responsive, that I can feel the clubheads presence throughout the swing. Nice medium to low launch and the ball just soars on a smooth arc with excellent roll out. I have since pulled the tour issue Project X out my Titleist 910D3 are re-tipped this shaft to fit. With all of the new models (shafts) that have been released, it's easy to see why Aldila hasn't discontinued this classic! Definitely one of the "best bang for your buck" shafts on the market!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I bought the Aldila NV green shaft to go in my R-15 driver. I had the shaft pured, trimmed and a new adaptor and taylormade grip installed. I have this shaft in a 7 wood and 9 wood and it's just right for me. I firmly believe in puring (spine align) the shaft. I got the new shaft, put it right in my R-15 and it hits great, also about 15 yards further. I will also get it for my R-15 3 wood.

Have a Big Bertha , can I purchase a shaft with an installed tip adapter that will fit the factory head adapter from Golfworks. This would be either a NV or NVS , and does the NVS stiff play more like a medium flex?

Asked by: Tom
Yes you can purchase the shaft and adaptor and have us install the tip for you. The NVS S flex compared to the NV S flex tends to play about a half a flex more flexible. Here is the link for the adaptor.

I have a swing speed of 110-114. Do you recommend a stiff or x stiff for this shaft? I currently am playing the RIP Phenom shaft and the torque is too high being 3.2. The torque in this shaft is 2.8 which is ideal. If not this shaft what do you recommend?

Asked by: JGolf
In the 110 to 114 mph swingspeed range we would recommend an X flex. The Aldila NV is still a very good shaft.

Do you know when you will get more 85's X flex in stock? I would like 2.

Asked by: bowens0886
The NV 85 gram weight shafts was discontinued by Aldila and we no longer have any left in stock. You could contact Customer Service and they could check and see if Aldila still has any available. That would be our only hope. You can contact Customer Service at or by calling 1-800-848-8358.

I have a Callaway FT9 driver with their stock Fujikura Z Com 60 Stiff shaft. What are the specs on this shaft as far as torque, kick point, and tip firmness? This shaft matches my swing and am looking to put a similiar shaft in my I-25 Ping driver.

Asked by: john m b
Sorry but we do not have any specifications on the Fujikura Z Com 60 shafts. They would have been made specifically for Callaway. An educated guess tells me it was a mid bend point type of shaft with a normal torque range in the 4 degree range. Weight was in the 60 gram range and it would have had a .350" tip diameter. In the Fujikura shafts I would look at the EXS 6.1 shaft as a good replacement. You can see the specifications for this shaft at the bottom of the page at this link. You would need the BB9002 adaptor to properly install this shaft into your FT9 clubhead.

What's the difference in the aldila nv versus the aldila nvs

Asked by: Lamar
The NV is designed to produce a lower ball flight and the NVS is designed to produce a mid ball flight. An NVS will test and play a little more flexible then the NV in the same flex.

Looking to replace the R Flex stock shaft in a Ping K15 driver that supposedly requires a .350 tip size. Would this be a good equal replacement for the TFC 149D shaft or would you recommend another?

Asked by: billygc45
The NV is a very good shaft but would tend to play a little stiffer and have a lower ball flight then the stock TFC 149D. For the K15 you would want the 12105W35 Aldila NV which is the .350" tip version. The NVS, which is also available in a .350" tip size would be a better replacement for the stock TFC 149D Ping shaft. If you use a .335" tip size shaft you will need to use the Ping Adaptor code BB9048 and order the one that is listed for .335".
