I'm quite impressed!

I'm experimenting with a 4 hybrid head that I like (Component maker--Powerplay Caiman) because I'm not hitting my 4 iron quite as high as I'd like. This particular head is very high launch, and an inexpensive low launch shaft would not bring the flight down to acceptable. Pulled that and put my iron shaft in-- Dynamic Gold S300 thinking that would do better. It did a little better, but the addition of close to 50 grams made the overall weight a bit heavy. The head is heavier than most hybrids. I tried a Stiff, Xtreme Engineering tipped 1.5" and cut to 38" overall. The TT DG S300 was giving me about a 7 iron flight, and I was hoping for something like real big 6 iron from this set up. I got a nice, high 4 iron flight from it, with increased stability at impact over the DG. In addition, even though the torque on this shaft is a stout 2.8* there was no boardiness to the shaft. It is a pleasure to swing. I'm quite impressed.
