Arthur Xtreme Engineering Xcaliber Graphite Iron Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Graphite Irons Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from as good as they get installed these in a full set of KZG forged irons, stiff flex, excellent results. Only other iron shaft that is comparable is SK Fiber and the Xcalliber has lower more boring flight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AXE XCaliber Graphite Irons Shafts I removed the TT steel shafts that came with the Maltby TE Forged iron package and added these AXE XCaliber Graphite shafts. Set looks great, feels really good in my hands, plus by eliminating approximatly 20-25 grams per club I'm averaging approximately 15 yards longer per club. At 69 and hitting that extra distance I'm smiling alot more these days. I love this combination and wish Maltby would package more sets for us older guys and gals. I shot a 74 on 6700 yd. course last week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very responsive iron shaft I bought these (XCaliber S-flex) for a handbuilt set to replace my old Nike Slingshot HLs which were shafted with factory UST S-flex high-kick. I assembled them with a 3-PW set of new-old-stock Vulcan XDC3 forged. Tolerances were great, I measured .375" with paint coat on the shafts, when tip-prepped they were just under .370". The included trim instructions were appreciated although I cut the tips just 1/4" longer than the instruction sheet indicated in order to soft-step them a half-club or so. Once they were bonded, butt-trimmed and gripped, I hit them at the range. Of course, going from cast to forged heads, it was much more necessary to hit the ball in the sweet spot for a pure shot. Launch angle was definitely reduced and spin seems to be lower also. I gained about 5 yards per club. The very low torque (2.3, I think?) is a big help in hitting the ball dead straight. I don't fade the ball at all and in fact had been over-drawing it with the Nike clubs so I am really impressed with the accuracy benefits of this shaft. Feel is nice and smooth except on very off-center strikes. The extra 10 grams per shaft helps with tempo as well. Playing these clubs has been a blast. The shafts have not suffered any scratching in about 20 rounds. I find it easy to choke down for pitch or punch shots without losing feel. Par-3 tee shots are flying precisely without the ballooning I had with the high-launch irons. Shock from fat or bladed hits is not transmitted as with steel, although they are not as soft as some graphite S-flex I have played. Bottom line, these shafts work very well as a replacement for good-quality steel or graphite and have a player's specs for torque and kick point.
