AXE XCaliber Tour Graphite Wood Shafts
Features:
  • The NEW T6 Wood is designed with a slightly softer lower stiffness profile than the T6+ but stiffer than the standard Xcaliber 6. Designed for players with high swing speeds and medium to quick tempos looking for slightly higher ball flight and spin than the T6+.
  • The Tour T6+ and the NEW T7.5 Woods have the stiffest lower tip sections (16 to tip) than any shafts in the industry. Designed to produce penetrating ball flight with low spin for players with high swing speeds and quick tempos.

AXE XCaliber Tour Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astonishing value I have AXE shafts in two drivers and in my 2 & 3 hybrids. I prefer tip stiff shafts and these shafts are incredible. They would be great at $150-200. At $55, they are a steal. These shafts produce a perfect flight for me; the ball doesn't balloon and flies as true as I hit it. I highly recommend these shafts. I'm a shaft junkie, so I've tried almost everything. These shafts are simply terrific.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nunchuk replacement I first started experimenting with this shaft as a poor man's Nunchuck. I have them in all of my woods now. I did have a Nunchuk in my driver and the performance difference between the two was enough to cause me to switch the driver to XCaliber. The Nunchuk is harsher and tended to produce more of a fade compared to the XCaliber. It is possible that the Nunchuk is actually better but I cannot prove it nor can I justify the expense to shaft up all of my woods with Nunchuks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I bought this shaft on the recommendation of Robin himself by email. He gave me an accurate description and was very helpful. As much as I want to use this shaft I have bitten off a little more than I can chew. Tour Stiff was a step too far for me should have went for stiff. I bought the Fairway version in stiff for my 3 wood and that is now my go to club for accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW The 6+ T/S really is a fantastic choice. I mounted this combo to an old 2008 Burner head. There was little spine and was easy to pure. The noticeable lack of torque flex is nice. A great pick that performs like a much more expensive shaft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I have the tour fairway, hybrid and 7.5 all stiff flex installed in my fairway woods , hybrid and driver respectively. These are very stable, long and unquestionably the best shaft for the money that I have used!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AXE - Awesome Xcellent Expenseless Title says it all !! Best bang for the buck for the non-pro in all of us :). Plays true to flex. Even the .335 tip shimmed into .350 hosel plays great :). Very impressed :)

18 years (hockey baseball player) and have swing speed of 116-118 mph. 10 handy cap... on average higher launch angle. do i want the 6+ TS or the 7.5TS??

Asked by: vtleaffan
If at your 116 - 118 mph clubhead speed you also have a quick tempo and are looking for more control then the 7.5TS could be the better choice. It may bring your ball flight down a little. If you have a smoother tempo and control is not an issue then the 6+ TS should work well.

Does the stiff tip make this shaft play stiffer than flex? ?

Asked by: Double C
The Xcaliber Tour 6+ is a little more flexible then normal in the top part of the shaft which can keep it from feeling quite as stiff as the tip stiffness can make it sound. Most players would still use the same flex as they would with another shaft.

Can you explain the difference between this shaft and the fairway wood version? I.E how will a 3 wood shafted with this shafted (tip trimmed accordingly) perform compared to one shafted with the fairway wood variant? Specifically looking at the 7.5.

Asked by: Sevastra27
I am no expert about shafts (5 handicap), but I do have the 7.5 S (tip trimmed) in my 3 wood, and absolutely LOVE it. ?I have a fantastic club guy who did this for me after suggesting it based on the bend profile. ?I liked this bend profile with the firm tip much more than the bend profile on the fairway wood shaft. ?Do not hesitate to go this direction.

I played a 9.5* G20 with a VS Proto 70S, and have also enjoyed the RIP Alpha 60s. I would like to put an Xcaliber shaft in a 8.5* G25 head. What shaft would give me similar feel and playability to the VS Proto setup, and some spin reduction is OK? Thanks

Asked by: Burns
The XCaliber Tour 6+ shafts would be similar in playability to the VS Proto and RIP Alpha 60. I would expect some spin reduction with the Tour 6+. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_AS0024

I have a titiest 910 driver 10.5 degree, diamana Kali blue 65 s flex shaft. My driver swing speed is 95/98mph what shaft would you ?recommend ?

Asked by: Muckle Skelp
Based on the information provided, it appears you would want a S flex. there are a multitude of shafts that cold work, dpending on what your feel and flight preferences are. If distance is the main opjective, you should go with the lightest shaft possible that allows you to still maintain the feel and control you want. If you need to lower your trajectory, then look for shafts with stiffer tip sections. If you are looking for higher trajectory, look for shafts with more flexible tip sections. There are many things that go into selecting the best shaft and you want to try and pick a shaft that will provide the feel and flight characteristics you are looking for.
