Could thes shafts be soft stepped down to an A flex or maybe an A+?

Asked by: jrob
Yes it can be soft stepped. To get it to an A flex you would need to probably soft step 2 clubs, put the 4 iron shaft into the 6 iron. Soft stepping 1 club would get you the A+ or between the A and R. Your set makeup will dictate how much you can soft step.

Are these available in an A flex for Tit. 710 Ap1's/

Asked by: jrob
The only .355" taper tip graphite iron shaft we stock in an A flex is the Aerotech Steelfiber 70CW. (AT0020I) Another option would be to have the Titleist irons reamed or rebored to accept a .370" parallel tip shaft. We do offer this service.

I am looking to put this shaft into a set of Mizuno 825 pro irons, will .355 shaft fit? Is there anything special that needs done? Is puring really necessary?

Asked by: RQM1
Yes the .355" taper tip will fit the Mizuno 825 pro irons. Puring identifies tolerances in shaft manufacturing process that could keep the shafts from playing as if it is perfectly round and perfectly straight. Puring the shafts and aligning them makes them play as if they are pefectly round and perfectly straight. It has been proven to give a better tighter impact pattern on face impacts.

Do these iron shafts play true to flex or are they softer or stiffer to flex

Asked by: Skip007
I would tell you that they play true to flex to slightly softer but not stiffer then the listed flex.

I am considering reshafting a set of Ping i3 blades with graphite to increase distance and was wondering if the hosels need to be countersunk. Would this be a good shaft option for a person who has had 2 total knee replacements and has lost distance.?

Asked by: Skip007
The Ping I3 blades would not need to be countersunk for graphite shaft installation. They would be ready to accept graphite shafts. The Xcaliber iron shafts play very well and could match well with the Ping I3 Blade irons. You will need the .355" tip diameter shafts for the Ping irons.

I have ping eye 2 irons so need.355 tapered tip how many come in set? How to trim for length, and how to order additional shafts if set not sufficient.

Asked by: bob isbell
There ar 7 shafts in the AS0028 set 36-39" in 1/2" increments. You can order the individual lengths under code AS0028. Since these are taper tip, you trim nothing from the tip. Simply install the shafts, then trim to your final playing length from the butt end.
