Arthur Xtreme Engineering Xcaliber Graphite Iron Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Taper Tip Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Inprovement I was having Shoulder/Rotator Cup problems and the Doc. suggested that I quit golf due to the Vibration from Steel Shafts so I took out the Mizuno OE Steel and replaced with the Xcaliber 75 Gram set, no vibration and I'm hitting the ball an extra 10 yards and straighter This was a great change for mee

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brought life back to my Hogan's! I've been trying to find the distance I've lost in my Hogan progressive ironset w/ Apex 4 shafts over the last 4 years, and narrowed down my search for easier playing graphite to the AXE XCaliber Taper Tip .355 graphite iron set 4-PW in stiff 85g red shafts. I also own a set of UGImprovement irons with OEM graphite shafts, but the gains I experience with those are only in the soft feel area, not distance or dispersion of shot. I swapped out the very easy to play original Hogan steel shafts with the AXE XCaliber set cut 1/2" longer than the standard steel lengths and wow! 15 yards avg more distance on each iron with an even tighter controlled dispersion than the steel, but with the same flight as I was used to working with. I just ordered an AXE XCaliber Tour 6 graphite wood shaft in the same MPF as the AXE XCaliber irons to try out in my driver because I now personally see the reason for all the great reviews and want to try out more AXE XCaliber products. Hope the price continues to be so affordable on this line, I'm planning to fill some other shaft problem spots in my equipment soon!

What length should I use for 2~P/A/S?

Asked by: Chris368
The AS0028 only comes in 7 lengths 36 - 39. One option is to use the 39" for the 2 and 3 irons, 38.5 for the 4, 38 for the 5, 37.5 for the 6, 37 for the 7, 36.5 for the 8, 36 for the 9, P, A, S. Another is to use the 39 for the 2,3 and 4 irons, then progress down to the 36 and use it for the P, A, S.

Why 37 for 7 iron? Will a 37.5 trimed to playing length perform the same as the 37 trimed to same length?

Asked by: klip
The manufacturers recommended length of shaft for the 7 iron is 37, based on the 39" shaft for the 3 iron, 38.5" for the 4 iron, 38" for the 5 iron, 37.5" fo rthe 6 iron, 37" for the 7 iron, etc. You can put the 37.5 in a 7 iron and there will probably be no noticeable difference in playability.

are the shaft sets already trimmed and ready to install

Asked by: RichardJ
The AXE taper tipped shafts are pre tip trimmed. You will need to prep the shaft tips by lightly sanding and then cut the shafts to finished length. If you do not have the tools to do this, we offer tip prepping and length cutting services. You can call The GolfWorks customer service for more information. 800 848-8358.
