AXE XCaliber Tour X Graphite Iron Shafts
  • The most UNIQUE iron shaft in the industry. Designed to compete with the performance of premium steel shafts.
  • The Tour X irons combine a patented metallic coated fabric over a graphite shell which results in 95g and 105g weight shafts that do not have the excessive wall thickness and dead feel of similar weighted 100% graphite iron shafts.
  • The shock dampening graphite core, combined with the metallic coated surface layer produce a unique feel and unparalleled performance.

Arthur Xtreme Engineering Xcaliber Graphite Iron Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Tour X Graphite Irons Shaft is rated 4.75 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I put together 2 sets of the 85 gram shafts, one for my customer in in regular flex and one for me in stiff. Simply, amazing shafts. First, we both score in the 70's are 61 and 60 years old. We get compliments on the looks everywhere, but the performance of this shaft is what stands out. Both of us are 1 club longer, hit it higher, but accuracy is what makes this shaft a pure winner. Aim it, make your swing and hit your target. We switched from DG Lite shafts and installed them to the Maltby MMB-17 irons. Try a demo with one shaft and see for yourself. Thanks Robin and thank you Golfworks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft! I put a set of these in my irons and wedges a few months ago. My reason was to remedy some elbow issues I've had the last 2 years, and I thought going to graphite was a good answer. I love the feel of these sticks. Yes, it's a little muted, and yes, it's unique. But the performance speaks for itself. Great trajectory, feel, and distance. I really didn't see a difference in yards and trajectory over my old shafts (FST Pro 125s, still a very good shaft), but the feel is unmistakable. And my elbows will tell you that. The heads may change, but these shafts will probably stay in the bag for awhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Shaft Very solid feeling shaft similar to the steelfiber but with a softer feeling tip, which was what I didn't like about the SF. Tested an 95g Reg against an Xcal SL in two S56 7i, side by side , same length, swingweight, grip, loft, only difference was the shaft. Slightly higher launch angle with higher spin rates than the SL and a little tighter dispersion.About 5-7 yds more carry on ave than the SL

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Unique" is appropriate... The description for this shaft states "unique" to describe the feel. I would say that's appropriate as it's nothing like I have hit before. I purchased the TS flex and it's feels like it has an active tip from just before, through, and just after the hitting zone. I am a high ball hitter though the trajectory is mid-low boring from the tee, rough and fairway. I believe it's a great blend of steel and graphite and you should expect the feel associated with that blend. Pure muted if I had to describe it. If you like something that draws attention out of the bag, this is it. This thing is good looking and I am really excited to continue playing it. I paired the shaft it have Maltby KE4 HDI 17* and so far it's great. AXE has a very good product here and I hope it continues to work out well for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AXE TOUR X 95 S I have the Tour X 95 S paired with the DBM Forged heads and I have been blown away by the performance. I was previously playing the Srixon Z 745s, the "It" iron of 2015. This combination has easily outperformed the Srixons. What stands out the most is the accuracy. Shot after shot is tight to the pin. Flight is mid high but not ballooning. Distance was on par with the Srixon's loft for loft. Feel is fantastic and there is no guessing if you hit a great shot, feedback is just enough with no hint of harshness. Last of all is the value of these shafts, with all of the AXE shafts, there is no better deal in golf. As a final note the touch and feel around the greens is an added bonus. They respond very well to tight little chip shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shafts I have purchased two sets of these now and they perform very well! They look amazing and feel great. Distance is comparable to other graphite shafts I have owned and the ball flight is slightly lower than most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice shaft! I purchased the Tour X 105 gram stiff shafts. I was a bit concerned from reviews I had read saying that these shaft's tips were very stiff. I found the shafts to be smooth and stable. I play graphite shafts on my irons for less stress on my joints from Rheumatoid Arthritis. These shafts fit the bill. There is nothing harsh about them at all. I picked up about 5-10 yards per iron and the ball is going straight. The shafts have also helped me lower my ball flight. My previous ball flight was very high. Very pleased with this shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft for the price These are similar to the Aerotech - 95g and steel/graphite. The price is 20.00 less and the shaft performs about the same.

JimY, Would you consider both the Xcaliber (AS0023) shafts and the Tour X (AS0036) shafts mid-trajectory shafts? Did the?Xcaliber shaft's higher trajectory cause you to lose any distance? Were Tour X (AS0036) still easy to get off ground ?in long irons??

Asked by: tcm_2
More mid on the Tour X and mid/high on the standard. I did not give up any distance with the standard Xcaliber shaft. I do not always hit it that high to begin with. I did not hit any long irons with the Tour X but we have a few people who work here that are good players and they use the Tour X and the trajectory with the Tour X for them is just fine.

What is the difference in playability of AXE XCaliber Tour X Graphite Iron Shafts & ?XCaliber Graphite Iron Shafts? Looking @ 95 S flex. Both have 4B2H ?codes. Driver SS=98-103mph. Is this a good choice? Replacing Rifle 5.5 +1/2" w/ M45 irons (love em).

Asked by: tcm_2
I have played the Xcaliber Iron shafts and have hit the Tour X version in the same irons and for me the basic difference is trajectory. I hit the Xcaliber (AS0023) shafts higher then I hit the Tour X (AS0036) shafts. The other difference is shaft weight with the 95 and 105 gram weight versions of the Tour X compared to the 85 gram S flex in the Xcaliber.

would these shafts fit in an Epon AF-502 head? Thanks, Mike.

Asked by: Ozmike
I am told the Epon AF-502 iron heads use .355" taper tip iron shafts. The Xcaliber Tour X Iron shafts are not available in a .355" taper tip. They are only available in a .370" parallel tip. You would need to have the iron heads reamed or rebored to accept a .370" parallel tip to properly install these shafts.

Does the 95 gram Tour x,regular have stiff tip?. I'm looking to lower my flight slightly. Where is the flex point?

Asked by: Stressdr
The Xcaliber Tour X 95 R flex is a mid bend point and medium tip stiffness. When I compare test data to the Aerotech Steel Fiber 95 R flex iron the Xcaliber Tour X 95 is noticeably more flexible in it's tip stiffness then the Steel Fiber.

I currently play Nippon 950gh Stiff in my Mizuno Mx25 irons. I'm looking for a lower, more penetrating ball flight in a heavier shaft. Which XCaliber Tour X shaft would you recommend?

Asked by: JMcDonough
The 95 gram version of the Xcaliber Tour X would be similar in weight and is designated as a Low/Mid trajectory shaft.
