- Saturday, April 19, 2008 Wood & Hybrid Reviewed By: Ward (Bryn Mawr, PA) I have recently had AEROTECH STEELFIBER GRAPHITE SHAFTS put in my 3 wood and two hybrids and am pleased with the performance of these shafts. This is a great shaft choice for fairway woods and hybrids for the player looking for solid performance. Lighter than steel but with virtually the same benefits it is a perfect option for today's fairways and hybrids when looking to keep swing weights and overall club weight at a proper number. I find that this shaft performs very predictably with shots tightly grouped. It is not the lightest or longest shaft a player can buy but for use in these clubs better players should prefer superior control and consistently dependable distance shot after shot versus a very few yards in added length. There are more expensive shafts but this shaft delivers everything a player is looking for in a medium weight graphite shaft.
