Rated 5 out of 5 by from steel fiber i 80 I ASSEMBLED A SET OF IRONS FOR A CUSTOMER USING THE i 95 STIFF. MY CUSTOMERS SAYS THEY ARE THE BEST SHAFTS HE HAS EVER HAD IN A SET OF IRONS. I ASSEMBLED A SET OF IRONS FOR MYSELF USING THE i 80 R FLEX. I AGREE WITH MY CUSTOMER THE BEST SHAFTS I HAVE EVER HAD IN A SET OF IRONS. I RECOMMEND THESE SHAFTS TO MY FRIENDS AND ANYONE WANTING A GREAT QUALITY SHAFT AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft with interesting features I liked the taper tip version in other clubs so I bought this shaft to try in a set of single length irons to reduce total weight, increase club speed, add a bit of kick and increase swingweight. Balance point is relatively closer to tip in these shafts so swingweight ended up a bit too high with my normal 50gm grip. After "counterbalancing" with a 64gm grip, all of my objectives were achieved . Club feels just the way I wanted, distance is significantly increased. Dispersion excellent. Superb shaft, will do the whole set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i95's We installed the stiff i95's in the VEGA VM-02 raw iron heads(D4)and put the i110's in the wedges. We also built a set for my father(8 handicap) with regular i95's and the VEGA VC-03 heads(D4). The shaft/head combo has an incredible look and feel. Shaft is very stable despite the intitial overall light feel and the traj is perfect. I would recommended these shafts to players of all levels and swing speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect shaft? This shaft is amazing. I have reshafted some Mizunos to produce a lighter total weight but increased swingweight. they feel great and I was able to add about 5 mtrs distance on mid and onger irons with no noticeable loss of control or accuracy. All the advantages of graphite without any downsides. I highly recommend them they are a real quantum leap forward in technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moe I played these shafts for the first time in a set of mizuno-m62 irons. One word "outstanding". I has been playing project x rifle 6.0 120 grams... what a difference in clubhead speed, distance, accuracy, and feel. Thinking about reshafting my calloway forged-x irons with the 95 gram shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great control and distance I have used these shafts with the MXU utility heads, and they give excellent accuracy and distance. I have also used the Steelfiber shafts in some irons, and my customers really like the control and distance, along with outsanding feel. Overall, it is a fine shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great move I've been playing the Aerotech 80 shaft for a month (previous shaft was the Rifle 5.0). Tested them on Pine Valley and Merion two weeks ago. Great feel; very stable. Works for all shots. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shift This a great shift. I tested it in a Calloway Apex 8 ir. Great fell. Just a might too light for me, but all in all very good choice.

I am a 3 handicap 56 years old swing speed 105. ? Play with Taylor Made tour preferred irons. What is the best shaft for me ?

Asked by: Stapes
For your Taylor Made Tour Preferred Irons you will need the .355" taper tip version. Either the AT0015I for the 95 gram weight version or AT0017I the 110 gram weight version. With your swingspeed I would think the 95 or 110 would be best. If you are changing to graphite because you want lighter weight then the 95 gram version or if you are just changing to graphite for the feel and playing characteristics then the 110 would be better. Some of this also would depend on which steel shaft you have been playing. I would always first ask you what your goal for this new shaft is? http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=AT0015I http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=AT0017I

SHOULD THE AEROTECH TEPER TIP SHAFTS BE TRIMMED TO THE STEEL SHAFT LENGTH

Asked by: NELSON
In the majority of cases they would be trimmed 1/2" longer then steel to maintain similar swingweights. With most manufactures if they are trimmed to the same finished lengths as steel the swingweights will be lighter. Ping is the only company that I know that assembles steel and graphite irons to the same finished lengths. Ping uses heavier clubhead weights when assembling graphite shafted irons so that they can use the same finished lengths that they use with steel shafts. The Aerotech's are not a low balance point shaft design that would create similar swingweights as steel at the same finished length.

I want to install the aerotech i95 stiff shafts in my Mizuno JPX forged irons, which tip size do I need

Asked by: nelson53
The JPX Forged irons are a .355" taper tip if they came with the stock steel shaft. If they came with their stock graphite shaft they are a .370" parallel tip.

I'm putting together some Mizuno JPX 850 forged irons using the Aerotech Steelfiber shafts (0.355 tip). Was wondering which ferrules would you recommend.

Asked by: sparky11756
In looking at the stock ferrule on the JPX 850 irons, it appears they used a black ferrule that is a minimum of .500" in length. Our 65TI is black and is .500" in length. If you want a slightly longer ferrule, the 66TI is .875" in length and is also solid black in color.

Hi, Can the Areotech SteelFiber 70R or 80R be placed in your ST-1 irons?

Asked by: Zorba
If you are referring to the current STi irons, they are a .370 hosel and the both the Steelfiber 70 and 80 shafts are available in the .370 tip.

have calloway.. ?X18irons.. ?like iron want to move to graphite , sr. flex. ?what is recommended.? ?options? ?

Asked by: Cliff44
In the Aerotech Steelfiber 80 gram weight shaft we stock only the R and S flexes. They do offer an A flex (Senior) flex in the 80 gram shaft and we could special order these for you. You could use these in the Callaway X18 irons and they could work well. In order to maintain the flex of the shaft when installing them into a Callaway Bore-Thru iron design, like the X-18 you need to subtract 1" from the recommended tip trimming instruction, otherwise the shafts will play a flex stiffer then what is listed on the shafts. To special order the 80 gram weight shaft it would be best to call Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 and they would be glad to help you.
