Rated 5 out of 5 by from best grip ever I have nine sets of clubs most with Brown chamois grips. I just got another set with black grips, and got some hybrids with NO CHAMOIS grips. when I say they are the best, I mean it. I've had them on ALL my clubs Forever. The feel is like no other...Instant confidence in my club and my grip and more importantly my shot, never slips and true, I love 'em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Many Things Well I have large hands and used Lamkin Crossline Oversize for years. I'm also tall and my irons are +1/2. After getting a stinger on a tree root, I decided to go back to the Avon jumbos I had used several iron sets ago. Not only are they shock resistant, they have great feel, control and all-weather playability. They are also far lighter than the Lamkin Crossline oversize, which means, with +1/2 clubs, I need less tip-weighting to maintain my D2 swing weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grip I like these grips and have used them for the past three years. I have carpal in my left wrist and nerve issues in my left arm. I got these in under size and they fit my hands very well. They are easy on the hands and allow me to control the club. Good looking, durable, and shock absorbing at a fair price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Grip I have used many of the top popular brands, and they are very good, but the moment I held these in the shop I immediately found these exraordinary. Very comfortable, excellent feel, just perfect. I really dont think I will change these for another, I have found My grip. Finally.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots going for it; not perfect though. The main problem with this grip, which I like, is that it is so soft that the soft material (it's greatest attribute) will create extra closing torque on draws and extra open twisting on cuts and slices. I think a firmer version of this grip could go through the roof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quality & value I've installed two sets of these grips. Work equally well on woods, hybrids & irons. They provide a nice cushioned grip, with good feel while also absorbing some of the sting that bothers older golfers or those with hand/arm conditions. They wear well too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected surprise I found these grips purely by accident. I had broken my pitching wedge and needed a replacement. The replacement I found had the Avon Chamois grip installed. WOW. The feel is incredible even on bad shots! I'm ordering 8 more to change the rest of my set!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly Good I put these on after trying a few of the more popular tour wraps. I'm very surprised at the better feel and control I seem to have with these grips. I'll try the other styles of this brand on my next grip change to compare. Reasonably priced tooooo!!!!

i see standard and jumbo is there a midsize grip?

Asked by: Tzmandb
Sorry, the std. and jumbo are the only two grip size options available in the Chamois grip line. However, the Chamois Jumbo is only a +3/32" oversized grip which is quite a bit smaller than other grip manufactures jumbo grips. There is no industry standard for jumbo or oversized grips. I would consider the Chamois Jumbo/Oversize grip to be right between other manufactures midsize and jumbo size.

What happened to the brown Avon grips? Are they no longer available?

Asked by: Ralph
The original Brown Avon Chamois grips can still be ordered. The brown version slowed in sales several years ago, so we dropped the brown, but carry the black, and six other colors of the same Chamois design. If you want brown, we can special order.

Do you have women's undersize grips? ?Also if not do the women's standard grips come in blue?

Asked by: Barb
We do not carry any Women's undersize grips. The Chamois womens grip is the CHLBK in black only. Winn's Dry Tac has two Women's colors, Gray and Pink (WN0100) and Gray and Blue (WN0083), and there is a Junior Dry Tac grip that could double as a Women's undersize. It is Light blue in color and the code number is WN0100.

My friend has dri tac oversize grips which I like. What is the equivalent in Avon? I see that Dri Tac oversize are listed as 50g your jumbo is 65g. Is this indicative as to the size?

Asked by: lwise
There isn't really a Avon grip that is comparable to the Winn Dri Tac grips. The Avon grips are all rubber grips while the Winn grips have a rubber underlisting with a light weight synthetic rubber wrap added to the outside. This is why the Dri Tac grips are much lighter than Avon grips of similar size. The Avon Chamois grips would be similar in shock absorbing qualities as the Dri Tac but a little heavier.

why can't I order a standard chamois kit in black?

Asked by: bob1tut
Black Chamois kit is available. It's near the bottom of the list and out of sequence with the other standard kits. I will see that this is corrected. Thank you.

how many comprise aset

Asked by: allant
A "set" of grips can vary, but our grip kits contain 13 grips. 13 grips assume 13 playing clubs in a players bag. USGA limit is 14 clubs in a bag, the 14th being a putter.

how many in full set ?

Asked by: the gripper
If you are asking how many are in a grip kit, the quantitiy would be 13. That would be considered a full set for all clubs, minus a putter.
