Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sometimes high tech is over rated ! With all the "new" steel shafts on the market to choose from True Temper Dynamic Gold stands the test of time ! Still the most consistent across the board, it is my go to when an experiment doesn't pan out .

I need to order x100's for my irons but am lost on how to order them...I need half inch long but they also need to be soft stepped once...so do I just order the 3 iron and put it in the 4 cut from butt end to half inch over Titleist standard?

Asked by: bpz6
Yes you would still order the 3 iron shaft to install into the 4 iron and butt cut to the half inch over that you want.

I have a full set of Ping Eye2's I was given as a B-day present in 1999. Love them but a little stiff now. They have "JZ Stiff" on the shafts, what would be the recommended replacement shaft to take them into the regular flex ranges.

Asked by: DonM9365
The Ping JZ shaft was a somewhat modified version of a Dynamic Gold. The JZ S flex raw weight was listed at 131 grams and the R flex at 125 which is close to the weight of the Dynamic Gold R300. The Dynamic Gold R300 .355" taper tip would be the closest replacement. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_DGI

How do you determine 3.55 vs 3.70

Asked by: Banky
For the most part it would depend on whether the clubheads you are using require a .355" taper tip or a .370" parallel tip. If you are not sure you can use this link on our web site to see what shaft tip size your irons require. http://www.golfworks.com/article.asp_Q_ai_E_376

I have ping i15 irons with stiff shafts and really need regular shafts. I also need the shafts +1" in length. How do I order them? Also, what is the difference between R300 and R400

Asked by: Patrick Butler Pinehurst9
The raw length of the Dynamic Gold shafts is long enough to allow you to assemble the Ping i15 irons +1". You will just order the shafts for each club number as normal and assemble them at 1" longer. The difference between the R300 and R400 is grams of weight. True Temper sorts the shafts by weight and the R400 is 2 grams heavier then the R300. The R400 will be approximately 2 cycles stiffer then the R300 when tested in a frequency machine. With True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts there is approximately 15 cycles between an R300 and S300.

Hi to you, What is the difference between X100,200 and 300, please ? Thank you, Yuri T.

Asked by: YURI T
The difference in the X100, 200, 300, according to True Temper, is the X300 is slightly stiffer than the X200 and the X200 is slightly stiffer than the X100, etc. The shafts are actually sorted by weight where the X300 would be slightly heavier than the X200 and the X200 would be slightly heavier than the X100.
