What is the difference: R flex & R2 flex?

Asked by: DR Man
According to the manfacturer, the R2 is about 1/2 a flex softer than the R.

Looking for medium stiff flex. Would tipping a stiff ?shaft 1" do the job? Or is there such a thing as a S2 flex?

Asked by: DR Man
There is not a S2 flex in the Motore F1 line. Generally, if you trim 1 inch fro the tip of graphite, you would increase the stiffness by a full flex. If you wanted the S flex to play a little stiffer, you could trim 1/2" from the tip, which will make the shaft play stiffer than the standard S flex.

Hi, I'm trying to buy a Fujikura Motore F1 Stiff 55 g but aren't having much luck. It was the factory shaft in my old Cobra Encore ZL and I want that exact same shaft or if you could recommend something very similar Thanks

Asked by: Chopper3130
It appears that Cobra may have used the actual Motore F1 shaft in the Encore ZL driver. Most often the manufacture will have a less expensive version of the shaft made for them. The shaft will generally play and feel a little more flexible then the stock version. We never know for sure but it looks like in this case that Cobra may have used the stock shaft. In checking our computer it shows we have 1 S flex left in stock and this shaft is being discontinued. It would be best to contact customer service at or by calling 800-848-8358 to place this order.

R2. ? Is same as. Senior/ lite shaft?

Asked by: Tgtotalgolf
Fujikura's R2 Flex is about an in-between flex. A little stiffer than a std. senior flex but a little softer in flex than a std. R flex.
