GolfPride CP2 Wrap Grip Specifications

Golf Pride CP2 Wrap Grip is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeling grip I bought a set of these for my Ping I25 irons and G30 woods and hybrids. I love them. They have just the right amount of firmness and tackiness to give me confidence in my grip and not having to hold the club with a "death grip." One of the nicest grips I have used in a long, long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from golf pride CP2 wrap grip kit The grips are good but the tape in the kit was to short and didn't cover the end of the shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent grip The CP2 wrap grip is a really sound grip. It is tacky and is easy to hold. It also is easy on the hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grips under $10.00 Soft durable and tacki, a great combination! You can buy cheaper grips but you end up changing them more often. The slightly larger lower portion of the grip is easier on the hands especially if you have some arthritis. This has become the grip of choice for the people I do grips for!!

How do you fit a larger grip.

Asked by: Greggo
If you are asking how do we fit someone for the correct grip size we do that by having them grip a club and then remove their bottom hand. We then look at the middle two fingers of their top and in relationship to the palm of their top hand. If the fingers are just touching and comfortable the grip size is correct. If the fingers are digging in the grip size is to small and if there is a space between the fingers and palm the grip size is to large. We would use different grip size samples to determine the correct grip size. Most golf retailers have sample grip sizes to help determine the correct grip size.

what is the difference between the CP2 and CP2pro grips? I have used the latter and a regular feels like a midsize

Asked by: Stressdr
The CP2 Wrap is a wrap style grip which will give it a little different feel then the CP2 Pro. That is really the only difference. Both grips have a reduced taper under the lower hand which will make the grips feel bigger, especially under the lower hand.

How much larger in outside diameter are the CP2 and CP2 Pro midsize and jumbo grips under the lower hand as compared to the standard CP2 &CP2 Pro?

Asked by: Greg D
Golf Pride tells me the lower hand is the equivalent of 4 extra wraps or +1/16" larger. To get that size with 4 wraps the build up tape would measure .015" when installed on the shaft.

I have Taylormade RBZ irons and a driver. How do I know if the shafts are 058 or 060

Asked by: MikeD
The best way to know for sure is to cut the grip off and measure the butt end of the shaft with digital calipers. You might also be able to call Taylor Made and they should be able to tell you the butt diameter of the specific shafts that came in the models you have.

I question the weight of the cp2 grip. The store went on line to golf pride and came up with 65g. Your site just gave me 53.5g. Please give me the correct weight. Thank you.

Asked by: Stans golf house
Sorry for the error. The drop down menu in the order box at the top of the page had the incorrect weights for the midsize and jumbo CP2 grips. The spec box at the bottom of the page is correct. The weights are 52 grams(std), 64 grams (mid) and 78 grams (jumbo)
