As most medium priced graphite iron shafts are .370 tip how advisable is it to enlarge a .355 hosel on a forged iron head. ?Specifically, the Adams A12 pro forged iron. ?Does a forged head alter more easily than a cast?

You can bore out .355 taper tip hosels to accomodate .370 tip shafts. The ease in doing so depends on the material. If the Forged head is forged carbon steel, it might be slightly easier to drill than a 17-4 stainless or 431 stainless, but most stainless heads are heat treated and can also be drilled with no problem. If you decide to drill out the hosels, our advise is to have The GolfWorks or a professional club builder do the job. Not an operation you can just use your hand drill for. As an alternative you might consider the Xcaliber graphite iron shafts in Taper Tip. They are priced at $139.99 for a set of 7 shafts ($19.99 ea.).
