The kit eliminates the need to apply a clamping force to a delicate aluminum adaptors. 5 different sized color coded screws are included to fit almost all brands of shaft adaptors. Simply insert the washer and the screw into the female receptacle of the shaft adaptor, insert the shaft into a graphite shaft extractor, heat the adaptor and extract the shaft. An inexpensive and safe way to remove a graphite shaft from an OEM shaft adaptor.

Screws included in the kit:

  • Red - Fits Nike VR-S Covert FlexLoft adaptor.
  • Blue - Fits all Callaway Opti-Fit, Tour Authentic and Opti-Force adaptors.
  • Black - Fits all TaylorMade shaft adaptors
  • Gray - Fits Titleist 910 and 913 adaptors

Please use caution when heating some OEM shaft adaptors - Many have plastic ferrules and or sleeve rings that need to either be removed or protected with The GolfWorks Club Shield Paste (GW1039) prior to applying direct heat to prevent the plastic parts from melting.

instructions needed on how to use this kit.

Asked by: oem saver kit
We don't currently have any instructions in print form for the OEM Adaptor Saver Kit. It is very simple to use. You simply insert the correct screw along with the washer into your adaptor (as shown in the picture on the web and catalog) and insert the shaft into a graphite shaft remover with the washer on the outside of the extractors push plate. Apply heat and remove the adaptor. If you require further assistance please call our Customer Service and they will be happy to walk you through the process.

How are the new ferrules installed after removal from shaft??

Asked by: Fred Swartz
If you are wanting to maintain the same setting from the previous shaft make a note of it's installation position before removing it from the shaft. I would reference the alignment from the shaft logo. If you are wanting to change the setting we would suggest checking the web site for that particular club manufacture.
