OEM Adaptor Saver Kit
The GolfWorks OEM Shaft Adaptor removal kit provides you with a more efficient and safer way to remove OEM shaft adaptors from graphite golf shafts. The kit eliminates the need to apply a clamping force to a delicate aluminum adaptors. 5 different sized color coded screws are included to fit almost all brands of shaft adaptors. Simply insert the washer and the screw into the female receptacle of the shaft adaptor, insert the shaft into a graphite shaft extractor, heat the adaptor and extract the shaft. An inexpensive and safe way to remove a graphite shaft from an OEM shaft adaptor.

Screws included in the kit:

  • Red - Fits Nike VR-S Covert FlexLoft adaptor.
  • Blue - Fits all Callaway Opti-Fit, Tour Authentic and Opti-Force adaptors.
  • Black - Fits all TaylorMade shaft adaptors
  • Gray - Fits all Titleist and Ping adaptors
  • Yellow - Fits all Cobra adaptors

Please use caution when heating some OEM shaft adaptors - Many have plastic ferrules and or sleeve rings that need to either be removed or protected with The GolfWorks Club Shield Paste (GW1039) prior to applying direct heat to prevent the plastic parts from melting.

OEM Adaptor Saver Kit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OEM Adaptor Saver Kit The kit is one of those must haves for do it yourself golfers. I bought one and I am extremely happy with it. I was able to pull the ferrule adapters from the shafts of my old drivers and used them on my new shafts. It is worth the investment on a golf repair tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product.. This is a great idea. I wish I would have thought of it. When pulling the adjustable tips the OEM ferrules are not damaged. This was always an issue before buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OEM Adapter saver kit, actually a shaft saver too I bought this to remove a stripped out adapter. The longer screw got past the stripped thread and the adapter popped right off!

I cannot get the Screw out after I remove the Adaptor. Is there away to do this?

Asked by: LevelPar
You can use an Allen Wrench in the end of the screw to remove it from the adaptor. If necessary I would clamp the adaptor in a rubber shaft clamp and clamp this in a vise and then use the allen wrench to thread out the screw.

Does one of the screws fit the Cleveland Classic XL Driver adapter?

Asked by: Jammer123
We do not know for sure if one of the screws will fit the Cleveland Classic XL driver but it is likely that one will. I called Cleveland and they were unable to tell me the thread size for this driver and we do not have one here to be able to check for sure.

instructions needed on how to use this kit.

Asked by: oem saver kit
We don't currently have any instructions in print form for the OEM Adaptor Saver Kit. It is very simple to use. You simply insert the correct screw along with the washer into your adaptor (as shown in the picture on the web and catalog) and insert the shaft into a graphite shaft remover with the washer on the outside of the extractors push plate. Apply heat and remove the adaptor. If you require further assistance please call our Customer Service and they will be happy to walk you through the process.

How are the new ferrules installed after removal from shaft??

Asked by: Fred Swartz
If you are wanting to maintain the same setting from the previous shaft make a note of it's installation position before removing it from the shaft. I would reference the alignment from the shaft logo. If you are wanting to change the setting we would suggest checking the web site for that particular club manufacture.
