Will this tool leave a mark on the iron ?

Asked by: Cbrodie
This particular bending bar was designed to use with short hosel iron designs like the older Callaway bore through irons. If you use this bar with a longer hosel iron, yes it will leave marks. The rule of thumb with a bending bar is that you want it to cover as much of the length of the hosel as possible so that the bending pressure will be more evenly distributed. That being said any bend bar could leave marks. It's the nature of the beast type of thing. Some of our customers like to use these brass hosel protectors to help avoid marks on the hosel but you must still use the correct bar for the club you are bending.
