I purchased the professional sanding machine as well as ttwo blue durabrite ferrule linens (1" by 42") bands. The bands thickness is binding at the front when I turn the unit on and burns the fuse almost immediately. The belts appear too thick. Help!!!

Asked by: rbrbuilt
If the belt is binding against the front work table you can adjust the work table to create a little more space. Under the work table there are 2 screws that you would loosen, slide the work table out and re tighten the screws.

I purchased this machine and it came with 2 sanding belts. What is used for turning ferrules? The sanding belts ruin a ferrule.

Asked by: BobA9
The sanding belts that come with the belt sander are sanding and not for ferrule turning. I recommend you purchase the 1x42" DuraBrite belts for finishing ferrules.

I purchased this machine but did not receive any instructions. How to change belts, adjusting belt tension and truing the belt on the rollers are not obvious. A little instruction would be helpful.

Asked by: BobA91
Unfortunately, I don't see the instructions listed for this tool on our website. There is a large black lever on the left side of belt harness that you push downward and hold to release tension for belt replacement. To true the belt there is a small (1/8") Allen screw at the top of the belt harness. You can insert the included wrench and twist this screw back and forth to adjust the horizontal movement of the belt. If you have further questions please call our customer service at 800 848-8358 for more details.

What is the flap wheel used for?

Asked by: BobA9
The flap wheel can be used to remove the finish on a graphite shaft before installation.
