Aluminum Hosel Protector

Prevents damage to hosels when pulling heads from shafts. Place Hosel Protector between shaft remover and hosel. Heat is applied to the hosel area and as pressure is apllied, the soft aluminum Hosel Protector cushions as the head is pushed off the shaft.

Aluminum Hosel Protector is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea For years I have been extracting shafts with a heat gun, metal/rubber shaft holder and a tool designed to remove car door panels (they come in various sizes similar to shafts). But the tool requires a lot of caution to avoid scratching graphite shafts. This hosel protector is excellent, place it next to the hosel, insert the door panel tool between the hosel protector and a vice. I have not scratched one shaft, not sure how I got by without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Good Price Making a shaft extractor for graphite shafts. The hose protector saved me quite a bit of work. Would add a hole in the center for mounting but it's easy to drill one.

Is this used to protect the hosel during extraction?

Asked by: davidbushay
The GW1113 is used to shield the shaft from heat when heating a hosel as well as to protect the top of the hosel when pressure is applied against the hosel during the extraction process.
