MALTBY MMB MUSCLE BACK IRON HEADS
The Maltby MMB Form Forged irons are the result of the challenge to create a muscle back type design that has a high degree of playability (Super Playability Category of the Maltby Playability Factor). As a part of the design, we wanted to have features on the design that actually showed how mass was redistributed to improve playability. This was accomplished by using “weight relief pockets” and a unique (inverted) muscle design. All this while still giving the player the feeling that they were looking at a traditional blade profile. If the feedback from our product development test committee is any indication, we succeeded, with honors. The Maltby MMB irons bring a new level of playability rarely seen in the muscle back blade category.

- Saturday, September 01, 2007 great set of irons! Reviewed By: Jay from Orlando (orlando, florida) These are the greatest irons I have ever used. I have used them all! I was stuck on my Mizuno MP 32 and like these alot better! I just tried the Cleveland CG1 black pearls and they were great but these blow them out of the water! Its a game improvement iron that better players can use and love! Its almost like cheating!
- Monday, August 06, 2007 Blades that Play Reviewed By: R. Montgomery (Asheboro, NC) What a great set of irons. I had a set made for me by the Golf Galaxy people. I had been playing with a set of blades from a major manufacturer. I tried these and got the blade look and feel with more forgiveness and workability. Nice Sticks.
- Tuesday, August 28, 2007 Easy hitting blades Reviewed By: Ed Poulin (Worcester, MA) I was playing Nike ProCombos but found I liked the 7-9 blade better than the rest of the set. Gambled on 5 thru 9 MMB's ,with Lamkin dual density torsion control grips and Royal Precision Rifle Lite shafts. I tipped the shafts between R & S. These are by far the best clubs I have ever hit and I've tried a lot of clubs. Not only can I shape a shot better than ever, but I picked up over 10 yars per club, probably a combination of hotter face and better fitting shaft. Plus the pride of having a set of clubs that I built myself for a fraction of the cost of similar OEMs.
60 years old, 10 handicap, 86 MPH 5 iron.
