MALTBY GLIDER S IRON HEADS
MALTBY GLIDER S IRON HEADSThe Glider S iron is the next generation of the unbelievably successful Glider X iron, the most playable iron ever developed. The Glider S has the same sole width (1.687”) as the original, which translates into an extremely low center of gravity location and the most turf friendly iron you could play. The low center of gravity makes it extremely easy to get the ball airborne, maximizing trajectory and distance. The sole design allows for more consistent sole contact with the ground, which means more consistent ball contact. Based on feedback from consumers, the Glider S has a slightly shorter blade length, and reduced offsets which appeals to a wider range of golfers, but still provides a very high moment of inertia. This high MOI makes the Glider S very forgiving on off-center hits, which means the ball will fly closer to the intended line and distance even on off-center hits. Highlights:

Reviewed By: Ed Bailey (Garden City, MI) I built the Glider X (3-5) with True Temper DG SL shafts and the 6-PW with the Glider X and used the TT DG for those. Shot a 39 last night. I will say it takes a little getting used to, but I do not hit the sweet sot often enough and these are great. I have played the M-45 forged and those were excellent heads - but the Glider works better for my game. People laugh at them and then they watch me beat them and then they go wow - I guess they are good heads. I have tried CER's, KE4's, KE4 Tours, RDM Recoil's, and the M-45's for me and friends. These by far are the best for me. Very solid feeling clubs. - Thursday, May 08, 2008Like the Glider X Better Reviewed By: Sharon Faville (Weston, Wisconsin) I purchased the gw/pw/9- and 7-irons which have a shorter length than the glider xs. If I hit them solid, they perform nicely. Unfortunately, I should have ordered the pw/9- and 7-irons in the Glider X Model because. for me, they are easier to hit. Read More Reviews |
