MALTBY TRICEPT MAGNESIUM DRIVER
Read the Editorial
The Maltby Tricept Magnesium driver club head is the most technologically advanced design ever offered by the GolfWorks and is the culmination of several years of research development. With clear cut guidelines set by the USGA on driver specifications and performance, new shapes, materials and improved mass and dimensional characteristics were the primary focus behind the Maltby Tricept Magnesium driver design.
The Maltby Tricept Magnesium driver incorporates multi-material technology and a proprietary brazing construction process to produce one of the most technologically advanced driver ever developed. The ultra thin and lightweight crown of the Tricept Magnesium driver club head is made of magnesium, a material that is less than half the weight of titanium. The purpose of using magnesium is two fold. First, the discretionary weight saved in the crown is moved low and to the rear of the club head's sole by brazing two stainless internal steel weights to the cast titanium sole. This added weight relocation improves the stability of the design (higher MOI), improves trajectory (lower and deeper center of gravity for higher launch) and reduces spin (for increased distance). Secondly, the magnesium crown offers more vibration dampening than a traditional titanium crown driver, resulting in an incredibly solid feel and sound at impact. The body, face and hosel of the Maltby Tricept Magnesium driver is constructed of a one piece investment casting from 6A4V Titanium. The investment casting process produces extremely consistent wall thickness and eliminates the need for welding which saves valuable weight that can be displaced to more beneficial locations in the driver club head's design. The face of the Maltby Tricept Magnesium driver is a variable thickness design to promote optimal ball speeds and a solid feel across the entire face of the driver.
Features:
- Patented brazing technology

After waiting for this next generation driver for 5 months, I had my doubts. Now, after playing numerous rounds, it was well worth it. The added distance is a plus, but the dramatic control difference has shaved at least two strokes off my game. What a difference playing from the middle of the fairway makes each and almost every time!
I have been a loyal Matlby user for years, and I will most definitely continue!

I made this driver for my brother who was not happy with the ever changing delivery dates. I used a Axivcore blue graphite shaft in the club an after six rounds he is very pleased with the driver.
